Director of The Wonder Years and The Dick Van Dyke Show, Peter Baldwin, passed away at 86. The Alienist hits TNT on January 22nd. Blood and Treasure will premiere in 2019 on CBS. Alexander Skarsgard has joined the cast of The Little Drummer Girl. Danneel Ackles will join the cast of Supernatural in a recurring role. SWAT and Westworld productions have been delayed until the California wildfires have been taken care of.
Amazon’s Transparent renewal is unknown due to allegations from remarks made by Jeffrey Tambor. Agents of SHIELD returned with full force for their fifth season. USA has renewed Shooter for a third season.

Hot Topic: Netflix strikes a deal for The Frankenstein Chronicles, Mr. Robot is renewed, and more!
The U.K. series, The Frankenstein Chronicles is coming to Netflix! The streaming service will be running the show as an original. This means that there is also the possibility of the series continuing if it performs well.
The season three finale of Mr. Robot just hit USA Network. With it, comes the announcement of the show being renewed for a fourth season.
The Good Doctor will be seen in Japan soon! The show will start broadcasting in Japan from Wowow, the biggest premium pay broadcaster in the country starting in April of 2018.
Guess Who: Jenna Coleman returns to Victoria, Costa Ronin joins Homeland, and more!
Victoria has been renewed for a third season. Along with the news, comes Jenna Coleman returning to her role as the title character. Tom Hughes will also be reprising his role as Prince Albert.
Homeland is adding some new faces for when the series returns for its seventh season. Sandrine Holt of House of Cards will be entering in a mystery role. Lesli Margherita will also be a recurring character. The Americans star Costa Ronin rounds out the season in a role that’s being kept under wraps by Showtime.
Fans of Kylie Bunbury are celebrating the actress getting the lead role in the planned reboot of Get Christie Love, coming to ABC.

Our Drama After Dark roundtables lived up to their name this week. The episodes had no problem ripping our hearts out!
Our SEAL Team roundtable was all about Clay joining Jason and the rest of the team for his first mission as an official team member. But we didn’t forget about the home front. Stella gets hit hard with the realities of being with a SEAL. Check it out here!
The Good Behavior roundtable wasn’t lacking in the drama department either. While Letty was getting help from Christian dealing with her inner demons, Javier was dealing with burying his own brother. But our favorite lethal couple found their way back to each other and had us remembering why we fell in love with them in the first place! You can check the roundtable out here!

“We ran a very fair set environment, and it breaks my heart that anything that was happening over in that writer’s room was not [respectful], especially on a show about female empowerment.”
Brad Falchuk, executive producer and co-creator of new show 9-1-1, sat down to speak about the upcoming drama.
“I think audiences have become very sophisticated – the cable audience certainly have, and there’s no reason why a network audience can’t as well.”

Starz show favorite, Outlander, will return in 2018, but the network has already released the teaser trailer for the new season. You can check it out here!
Amazon original show, Mozart in the Jungle is finally returning for a fourth season. It will be available to stream February 16, 2018.
FX has picked up a new show, Welcome to Night Vale. It’s a book series and podcast that will be making its way to the small screen Not too many details have been released yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop!
Big Little Lies has been renewed by HBO for a second season. This season will be directed by Andrea Arnold instead of season one director Jean-Marc Vallee. Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon will still be starring in and acting as executive producers for the series.
Showtime has revealed that Homeland will be returning for a seventh season on February 11th, 2018. Along with the renewal announcement, the network has also released the teaser trailer that you can check out here.
The CW is getting a little darker as they pick up a new psychological thriller series, Lady in the Mask.
