Letty and Javier’s reunion plus a splash of Good Behavior drama made for one hell of an episode.
In the blink of an eye and nine episodes later, we are just one week away from the season 2 finale of Good Behavior. And what a season it has been, right? This episode increased the drama by ten-fold and showed no signs of stopping as we head into the finale next week.
The aftermath of Letty’s (Michelle Dockery) wild night out left her stranded in the forest with a dead phone. Luckily, her message to Christian (Terry Kinney) went through and he came to her rescue as she lay there in a drunken, high mess. As Christian dealt with the hot mess that was Letty, Javier (Juan Diego Botto) buried his dear brother, Carlos (Cristobal Tapia Montt) after Teo (Juan Reidinger) took his life in last week’s episode. However, the anticipated reunion of Letty and Javier finally came to fruition (courtesy of Christian) and melted hearts around the world. For a couple that has had their fair share of shortcomings and flaws, they are nothing without the other, and this episode proved just that.

This beautiful reunion included a grand gesture from Javier telling Letty that the new house was in her name, and would be a place for her and Jacob to call home. Whether or not he came back, Javier wanted Letty to be taken care of, and this house was his way of doing that. The turning point in the episode came when instead of meeting Javier, Teo showed up at the house. A mutual gasp was heard from fans around the world when Teo confronted Letty and attempted to put her in harm’s way. A code word text and some moments of reckless driving later, Javier rushed home to find Letty in the midst of a pool of blood and two dead bodies! This situation unfolded as Letty’s attempt to protect herself from Teo resulted in her shooting him. Simultaneously, a security employee showed up to do work and became an innocent victim that Letty had to eliminate as a witness to her crime. How will the events of this effect Letty going into the finale? Guess we have to wait until next week to find out.

1. Wow, there was SO much to process this episode, right?! So diving right in, how did you feel during the Jetty reunion? SHARE ALL YOUR FEELINGS!
Erin (@E_84): My heart is bursting while I’m writing this. I had and still have the biggest smile on my face. I can’t help it, I love Jetty so much and I’m extremely happy they are back together. Also, that shower scene – SWOON! I’ll take a whole episode of them in the shower, please. Ok fine I don’t want to be greedy… maybe just 30 minutes. In all seriousness, I’m really happy they are back together because they are better together! We know it, Javier knows it and now Letty knows it!
Nikki (@EJamiHayLijahK2): First off, 3 cheers for the best friend for life, Christian! He really came thru for Letty in this episode. Getting her detoxed, not turning her in. (like a real best friend would do!) and calling her boyfriend Javi. You no matter what, whenever the chips are down, he will always be there for her. They are soul mates. (Jetty!)
Samantha (@SamanthaNyarko): I was so happy and relieved! It was a long, tough road for Jetty without each other. It just felt right when they were reunited. It warmed my heart to see Javier be so tender with Letty and to hear Letty apologize. And we got some great kissing/embracing scenes with these two! There’s a reason they’re my OTP! I felt so many feels during the Jetty reunion.
Lauren (@mslaurenrh): YESSSSSS FINALLY!! The A-Team is back together again. Their reunion was perfect and just so… them. Letty chilling on the floor. Javier flirting in that quirky way he has. The whole scene was overwhelming in its subtlety, which really highlights their relationship. It’s all about the little things with them.
Janice (@starloverpensa1): The Jetty reunion took my breath away. The shower scene – Javier and Letty connected on a spiritual level last night. They were both vulnerable, showed their vulnerabilities to each other and gave back to each other with volumes and volumes of love and comfort. That was truly a beautiful love scene. Right there you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were intertwined, forever connected by heart, body, and soul. These two individuals, that were all alone, can now be certified to be in love, care for each other and belong together. They have each other’s back. They can argue but when they need each other they show up. Letty proved that last night because she got rid of Javier’s biggest problem. Javier giving Letty the house, Letty’s concern for Javier and those kisses with a very sincere apology to Javier from Letty was just icing on the cake. I need more of these moments in season three and yes we need a season three because Javier and Letty’s story is just getting started and getting very good. They move me like no other pairing can.

2. Christian is the best friend we all need and want, right? How did you feel about all he did for Letty this episode?
Erin: I want Christian to be my best friend. I’m totally serious! He has become such an incredible character and such an amazing friend to Letty. I don’t know what Letty would do without him. I am also so happy that the text message went through and Christian was able to find her. To say I was scared for her is an understatement. If Javier is #relationshipgoals then Christian is #friendshipgoals.
Nikki: Christian is like the equivalent to Letty’s – Thelma. They are like “Thelma and Louise”. They will go off the cliff for each other. These two besties are loyal as can be. I just love their friendship and bond.
Samantha: Christian was great this episode. He really is like Letty’s guardian angel. I felt so happy for Letty that she has someone who will never give up on her, will make sure she’s safe, follow her wishes, and ultimately help her to make the right decision. It did make me wish I had a friend like that to save me in my darkest hour! The way Letty broke down and cried shows that she really trusts Christian because she can be vulnerable around him. And I loved how he coached and encouraged her to reconcile with Javier.
Lauren: Christian is a modern day superhero. I’d hate to see the day he isn’t there for Letty because then she’s truly going to be lost. He managed to get her back on her feet without enabling and excusing her behavior. He knew what she needed, and he made sure she got exactly that.
Janice: Christian was the very best friend anybody can ask for. He knew exactly what Letty needed and got it for her. He saved her from the woods, got her medical care without complications and was supportive when her family failed to be. But most of all he got her the best medicine that she needs which was Javier. He may not like what Javier does for a living but he knows that Javier loves Letty and with him she never used. She was good with him physically. Christian is awesome.

3. Something doesn’t feel right about Ava. Do you think she’s in on all of this or is she innocent?
Erin: Ava was acting a little odd and I sincerely hope she’s not in on all of this. It would kill Javier to find out she knew anything about this. That being said, wouldn’t it be an amazing twist? HA! For her sake, she better be innocent because who knows what Javier will do if he learns otherwise.
Nikki: I am quoting the Godfather here. “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” There is something off about Ava. I love her character and up until this point, I wanted to believe she and Javi were “solid as a rock” but something is off. Papi is the ultimate puppet master… He gave her everything, he runs the business and her… Watch yourself Javi
Samantha: It’s kind of odd that the drugs were in her fish delivery. If that’s how the drugs are always delivered how would that get by her in her own restaurant? Maybe she knew all along that drug trafficking was the condition of owning her restaurant. Perhaps she killed her father and brothers to take out the competition and take over the crime empire. I didn’t suspect her until this episode
(it is odd she was conveniently out of town this episode and left Javier to contend with Teo). Seeing the rumblings online that perhaps she’s in on everything swayed me too. But perhaps like with Carlos seeming suspicious, Ava seeming guilty is a red herring.
Lauren: I want to trust Ava because she’s the only family that Javier has left. But she’s taking her girls to Argentina? Is that really the safest place for them, given the situation? When she first learned that Javier was a contract killer, she seemed genuinely horrified and upset, betrayed even. So this would be a complete 180 for her character if she’s involved in their father’s drug business. Unless Ava is just that good at pretending and fooling people. Because she is in prime position to take over that business now. The only male member of her family left is Javier, and best case scenario, Javi, and Teo could have taken each other out. Worst case, she just has to continue to manipulate whichever one survives. So, it would be an interesting twist, to say the least, if Ava turns out to be a “bad guy”.
Janice: A lot of people have been talking about Ava being involved in the mess but I just can’t see it. She was so against what her father stood for and pushed Javier away for being a hit man. If she is involved color me surprised.

4. This season has been a love/hate relationship with Estelle. What were your thoughts on her this episode?
Erin: I loved Estelle this episode. As much as I hated Estelle when she called the FBI on Javier she’s wormed her way back into my heart the last couple of episodes. When Estelle looked down at Letty’s filthy feet and went to get her shoes my heart melted. The last several episodes have been so hard for these two and I think in this episode they finally began to repair the damage to their relationship. It won’t always be rainbows and sunshine for these two and I’m fine with that but they need to have a better relationship for Jacob’s sake and for their own sake. They need each other and what can I say? I’m selfish and love seeing them together because their banter is amazing and more Estelle means more Rob which is always amazing!
Nikki: I am MAD at Estelle. She is hot and cold as far as I can see regarding Letty. “Stare in the mirror, Estelle. You might not like what you see, homegirl.” I believe she sees too much of Letty in what she used to be when she was younger. She needs to stop ratting out people and be more supportive of her daughter, period.
Samantha: I liked that Christian sympathized with Letty about having Estelle as a mother. As her friend, he needed to do that. But as Letty pointed out, Letty is thirty-four now and can’t blame her mother for everything. She even told Estelle on the phone that she doesn’t blame her for how she turned out. And I think Estelle is improving as she called Letty to consult about Jacob and ask where she went wrong raising Letty. She obviously loves Jacob and wants to do her best by him.
Lauren: Okay, I know Estelle has gotten a lot of flack for ratting out Javier, but she was doing what she was in Letty’s best interest. I will never not love Estelle. She clearly carries guilt over how Letty turned out, and despite the fact that her daughter is a full grown adult, deep down she still wants to protect her. At the same time though, there’s only so much that Estelle can do. And her primary concern at this point has to be Jacob. I think Letty is finally starting to understand that.
Janice: I understand Estelle wanting to protect Jacob and her giving Letty tough love but she annoyed my last night with the way she treated and spoke to Letty when Christian took her over there for help. She could have been a little more sympathetic. On the other end, I must admit that conversation they had in regards to Jacob was excellent and showed they both had his best interest at heart and that Letty wasn’t that much of a failure as a mother because she understood who her son was and how he needs structure and rules.

5. Collectively, everyone’s hearts sank when Teo showed up at the house, right? Did you see that coming and what was your reaction?
Erin: When Teo didn’t show up to meet Javier I knew he was going to go to the house. Some part of me hoped he wouldn’t but I’ve watched way too much television to think otherwise. Javier waiting at the restaurant and Letty being alone in the house, it was the perfect final showdown. In theory that is.
Nikki: If I was there, I would have beat Teo to a pulp for Letty myself. All I kept saying, was Javi, “Why did you go to the dinner???” You are a hitman. You should have known, he’d go to your house, bro!
Samantha: I saw it coming a mile away. There was definite foreshadowing with Javier telling Letty not to let anyone in and leaving her the gun and being inconveniently away from her. I knew his heart attack plan at the diner wasn’t going to work. It was scary and suspenseful while Teo was facing off with Letty. His weird story about cannibalism made me question his motivations and whether he was forced into this murder spree in ways we don’t know about.
Lauren: My heart had been racing from the moment Letty answered her phone to talk to her mom. I knew Teo wasn’t going to show up to that diner. He knows where Javier lives. He knows when Javier won’t be there. That was a clear advantage. I wasn’t surprised at all to see him there. It was more anxiety over which moment he was actually going to show up. And I knew as soon as he took Letty’s phone she was going to find a way to secretly tip-off Javier.
Janice: With the “what if” question and answer Letty and Javier were having I knew something was going to happen. Then you have Javier leaving her a gun that was courting more trouble. But yes, I had a feeling that Teo wasn’t going to the restaurant.

6. And just like that, we have one episode left in the season. What are your theories and thoughts going into next week’s finale?
Erin: I can’t believe there’s one episode left! This season has gone by way too quickly. I just hope Javier and Letty can clean up the mess they’ve gotten into and ride off into the sunset together … hahaha! Right… like that’s going to happen. I just hope they don’t suffer any consequences because of that scumbag Teo.
Nikki: My theories, I have too many to write here. Ultimately, hoping for a positive HEA for Jetty. Praying that Papi and the others get what’s coming to them. Before it’s too late…
Samantha: Sadly I think Letty and Javier are going to have to flee the country as Javier says nowhere they run will be far enough in the preview for the finale. I think that since that security installation guy will be reported missing after going to their house, they will be wanted in connection to that and they’ll have to give up all hope of their happy life in that beautiful house. Hopefully, when they become fugitives, they can take Jacob with them. It would be nice if the whole gang (Estelle, Rob, Christian, and Lashever) had to flee with them too so they’ll all be united for season three. Hopefully, we get a season three!
Lauren: Honestly, I have no idea. Other than the fact that Letty is going to be spiraling a bit after killing two people. She’s obviously in shock. And this is obviously going to add a new dynamic to her relationship with Javier. I’m interested to see where the finale leaves off. Season one’s finale had Letty with everything she wanted: Jacob, a clean record, and Javier. Granted, they were on the run from the FBI, but at least that was some semblance of stability. This feels like the exact opposite.
Janice: My thoughts are that we need a confirmation for season three. We need a full year of Letty /Javier dealing with the drama of being in their fully committed relationship. There’s still loose ends with Javier’s family, loose ends between Jacob/Letty /Javier. There are too many things that need to be resolved and dealt with that I can’t possibly be covered in the finale. However, I’m dying to know how Letty and Javier get out of the mess with the two bodies. Poor Letty she didn’t mean to hurt the security guy.
[wp_ad_camp_2]
7. Holy ending! That was so intense and unexpected, right? What was going through your head while watching this scene play out?
Erin: THAT WAS INSANE!!!!! At first, I thought Letty was just imagining shooting the security guy but I freaked out when I saw him drop to the ground and blood was everywhere. I won’t lie, I did cheer her on when she shot Teo but I couldn’t believe she accidentally shot the other guy. How are they supposed to get out of this one?! There’s never a dull moment on this show, NEVER!
Nikki: I had an inkling that Letty was holding the gun and killing Teo. Did not see her shooting the property guy…Oh boy!
Samantha: I was so proud of Letty for getting to that gun and shooting Teo before he could shoot her. She did what she had to do to survive. My heart sank when that man walked in on her holding the gun and Teo lying dead on the floor. That was a nasty shock. I feel that she did have to shoot him or he would have gotten the police and it all would have been over. It was so sad that she had to kill an innocent man. For Letty to have to kill two people at once when she’s never killed before is devastating. That damn front door being unlocked caused so many problems!
Lauren: Initially, I felt vindication because yes! I was right! I knew Letty would end up being the one to kill Teo. And Teo deserved what he got. I just wasn’t expecting an innocent bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time to go down too. So it was brief celebration followed by panic! Thank goodness those Girl Scouts left before it got even worse.
Janice: With the description, I knew something was going to happen and I suspected that Letty was going to end up killing Teo after seeing the commercial. But I’ve been waiting for something like this to happen ever since season one where she said she would never, ever, ever kill someone. I said at that point that she was going to end up having to kill someone. Really she has no choice because Teo was going to kill her and Javier so she saved two lives over his worthless one. Unfortunately, the security guy was killed. But really who walks into somebody’s house without knocking or ringing the bell. If you’re going to show up early, especially a day early, you call to confirm somebody will be home. I’m waiting to see the end result.

Final Verdict: Our sights are set on next week’s finale as Letty is left to deal with her bloody mess.
The events of this episode left us in shock and concern over what this will mean for our beloved Letty and Javier. A new challenge places them in a vulnerable and unique situation unlike one they have ever dealt with before. While Javier has experience with murder, Letty has just committed her first two back to back, leaving room for intense emotional distress. How she will deal with this in her fragile state will be interesting to see come next week.
However, with Teo finally out of the picture, perhaps our lovebirds can finally get their version of a happy ending. Unless, of course, we discover Ava (Maria Botto) is somehow the mastermind behind all the hurt and pain of this season. Wouldn’t that be quite the plot twist?
