Nerdeeks from Around the World Unite Every July for San Diego Comic-Con International
Whether you’re a fan of traditional comic books, epic blockbuster movies, binge watching addictive TV series, have a badass cosplay game or just love it all, San Diego Comic-Con is the place to be to every summer. TV After Dark’s sister site, NERDEEK LIFE, took part in this year’s festivities. They enjoyed some of the most anticipated panels from some of the hottest current TV series as well as some of the most anticipated new shows and even got up close and personal with the stars.

Comic-Con is a four-day weekend jam packed with all kinds of goodies, so there really is something for everyone. Let’s begin with Thursday. Here’s a summary of everything that went down.
Freeform’s hit dramas, Stitchers and Shadowhunters, returned to SDCC this year. The casts and producers discussed the series’ current seasons as well as dished on all the behind the scenes antics and more. Check out everything that went down at the Stitchers’ panel!
STARZ’ insanely popular series based on Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling novel, Outlander, returned to Comic-Con. This year the Starz booth featured the hit series bringing pieces from the series’ set that transports fans back to the Scotland of 1743. Legion may not have started filming its highly anticipated second season yet, but the cast and producers from the FX were on hand at SDCC. In what was described as an eventful, fun filled panel, the cast shared details on what goes on behind the scenes of Legion and shared a little bit on what’s to come in season 2, which may or may not include Professor X. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel’s Inhumans, in one of ABC’s anticipated new series this Fall. The entire cast was in attendance at Comic-Con and dished on the series stating the show is more about people with powers than rather a superhero show. On Friday, AMC’s Preacher, gritty adaptation of the comic book series of the same name, appeared at Comic-Con for the second time. Ahead of their fifth season, HISTORY’s Vikings made their fifth appearance at SDCC. It even included a traditional Viking burial complete with burning ship in the San Diego Harbor. What do you get when you combine NETFLIX’s hit series, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage? Marvel’s The Defenders and one of the most anticipated new NETFLIX series. The cast appeared at Comic-Con and yes, it was awesome. During their Q&A Panel, the cast dished on the new series set in the Marvel Comic Universe. The star of the new NETFLIX series, The Punisher, made a surprise appearance during The Defender’s Panel at SDCC. Then he and his co-star joined The Defender’s press room and dished on the anticipated new series promising fans will realize The Punisher is a hero as well. In past years a highlight at San Diego Comic-Con has always been Entertainment Weekly’s Brave New Warriors panel and this year did not disappoint. Stars from the hit series Once Upon a Time, Stranger Things, American Gods, Outlander, Westworld as well as the new series Happy! The critically acclaimed NETFLIX series, Stranger Things, quickly became a cult phenomenon and one of the year’s most talked about series. This year the NETFLIX Experience transports fans into the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980’s.
