New details have emerged about Steve Coogan in BBC’s This Time With Alan Partridge. NBC has ordered Bright Futures, from Black-ish creator Kenya Barris. See all involved here.
Regina Hall (Girls Trip) and Paul Scheer (The Disaster Artist) have been cast in Showtime’s half-hour Wall Street comedy pilot Ball Street. Jessica Szohr (Shameless) is joining the cast of The Orville as a series regular for season 2 and Jordan L. Jones has landed a lead role in the Fox comedy pilot Rel. Kosha Patel (Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce) has been cast in the lead role for ABC’s False Profits.
Chris D’Elia to star in Psychopath which is being developed at YouTube Red and TBS has greenlit the comedy Twenties, from The Chi creator Lena Waithe. Don Johnson has been cast as the male lead role in Daddy Issues. Alyson Hannigan and Rob Riggle will voice the parents of the title character in Fancy Nancy in the new Disney Junior toon series.

Hot Topic: Bill Gates to guest star on The Big Bang Theory!
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has booked a one-episode appearance on the current 11th season of The Big Bang Theory!
According to THR, Gates will play himself in a March episode during which Penny (Kaley Cuoco) hosts him at work. Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg) do everything in their power to meet him.
Gates joins a guest list of other big names that have been on the show like Buzz Aldrin, George Takei, Stan Lee, Stephen Hawking, and Bill Nye.

Randall Einhorn has signed on to direct ABCs untitled single-camera comedy pilot from former Last Man Standing showrunner Tim Doyle. This will be Einhorn’s first time directing under his new deal with ABC Studios.
Vicky Jones (Killing Eve) and Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge are joining Entertainment One on romantic thriller comedy series Run. The show will follow ex-lovers who made a 15-year-old pact that if they ever needed to escape life, they would send each other the text message “RUN” and impulsively run away together. The two will executive produce alongside Emily Leo.
Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair’s High Maintenance and Pete Holmes and Judd Apatow’s Crashing have both been renewed for season 3!

Nishi Munshi has been cast as a series regular in CBS’ multi-camera comedy pilot Pandas In New York.
Dennis Andres will be a series regular in the ABC comedy pilot The Greatest American Hero and Elizabeth Ho has been cast as a series regular in ABC’s untitled Justin Noble comedy pilot.
Kristin Chenoweth will succeed John Lithgow and lead the second season of NBC’s anthology comedy series Trial & Error. Natalie Morales has been tapped to star in Mike Schur’s comedy pilot Abby’s.
Tiffany Haddish has been tapped to voice Tuca in the new Netflix straight-to-series order, Tuca and Bertie. The 10-episode animated comedy comes from the same team behind BoJack Horseman.
Rumor Has It: Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle may be getting a sequel!
After the success of Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, Sony Pictures is in talks with Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner to write a sequel. The original ensemble cast is expected to be back along with director Jake Kasdan.

The Emmy-nominated hit comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will return in May for season 4! The season will launch in two parts with the first six episodes being released on May 30, and the second half of the season will premiere later in 2018.
Jason Winer (Life in Pieces) will direct and executive produce ABC’s new comedy pilot Single Parents, from New Girl creator/executive producer Liz Meriwether and writer J.J. Philbin. The description from Deadline is as follows:
Single Parents revolves around a group of dysfunctional single parents who lean on one another as they raise their kids, look for love and ultimately realize survival is only possible with the help of one another.
Check out the official trailer for season 5 of Silicon Valley below! The show featuring Thomas Middleditch, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Suzanne Cryer and Jimmy O. Yang, will return on March 25.
According to Variety, Freeform has given a pilot order to the female-led comedy Girls Code. Kim Rosenstock will stand as creator and writer and Paul Feig will direct the pilot and executive produce.
