It’s Christmas time on episode 3 of Good Behavior and as we all know, nothing bad happens at Christmas. Right? Wrong. Even Rob the elf couldn’t fix this intense family gathering.
This Good Behavior Christmas was everything we did and didn’t hope for. Jacob (Nyles Steele) had plenty of questions for Javier (Juan Diego Botto) and Letty (Michelle Dockery) at the beginning of the episode. Last week was quite interesting, and when Jacob doesn’t have answers you better believe he will get them one way or another. We had the return of Jacob’s biological father Sean and an unexpected new fiance, Bethany. Jacob heads off to Sean’s for the holidays while Jetty, Rob, and Estelle decide to enjoy a family Christmas at a five star hotel. What could possibly go wrong? There were some really fantastic moments in this episode. Can we just take a minute to appreciate Rob?! Not only is he the greatest elf on Earth, but he’s also the world’s greatest dad. We see you, Rob. We all did. And our hats are off to you. Just don’t lose yours. We love that hat.

During this episode we get a look at the softer side of Jetty along with what being a family means to each character. The twists and turns. The good and the bad. The ‘HOLY CRAP! Why did you do that?’ moments. Unfortunately, not all family situations turn out so well. Especially for Javier and Ava at the moment. Let’s just say that this is one Christmas none of them will forget anytime soon. From beginning to end this one had us on the edge of our seats in true Good Behavior fashion. All we need now is a big gift wrapped present full of answers.
As we watched this crazy Christmas unfold it left us with plenty to say. Let’s introduce our roundtable and hear what they thought about tonight’s episode!

1.Tonight’s episode starts out with some very interesting car ride convo. Jacob had plenty of legitimate questions and Jetty had the answers. Well, kinda. Jacob tells Javier and Letty about what Apple witnessed at the end of last week’s episode, which was Javier watching Bryce take a nosedive off a cliff and doing nothing to stop it. How do you think Javier and Letty handled this conversation? Did Jacob truly believe their story or is he simply going along with it for the time being? 1…2…3…GO!
Janice (@starloverpensa1): For the out of the blue questions that Jacob was throwing at Javier and Letty, I think they did great with their responses. I think Javier was quick to think on his feet, not react to the questioning, and keep it open to have Jacob question him whenever he wants. It’s not an ideal situation overall because I know they want to keep their alternative lifestyle, so to speak, away from Jacob. But if they’re going to continue then they have to be prepared for the questions that will be coming. I think for now Jacob believed what they said because there’s nothing really tangible to dispute their claims. Hopefully if it comes out in the newspaper Apple and Jacob won’t see it and cause further issues for Javier. If not, then that’s when they will have to worry about Jacob and the next round of questioning.
Karen (@InGoodCoToday): I felt like the cover up started to slip a little, but Letty brought it back under control when she asked for more detail, and if Apple was crazy or drunk. I think Jacob will go along with it because he wants to believe it and he’s getting increasingly comfortable with this new life.
Erin (@E_84): I think Javier and Letty handled the conversation with Jacob the best they possibly could. Their answers sounded plausible and not too over the top to make Jacob even more suspicious. I was quite impressed with Javier since we all know what a terrible liar he is but with Letty there lying with him I think they did well. I truly hope Jacob believed their story because they don’t need Bryce’s death over them. They have bigger things to worry about. I think Jacob wants to believe them so I think he’ll let it go, for now anyway.
Lauren (@mslaurenrh): Letty has always been quick on her feet, no matter the situation. Take for example the surprise corpse in her trunk she found when she bought four cases of wine. Most people would have slammed the trunk shut and tried to pretend it was nothing. How many people would have so quickly and easily passed it off as an animal carcass from a hunting kill? Letty is an excellent liar, and what makes her lies so good is the fact that there’s just a hint of truth in each of them. Technically, in the barest sense, what Javier does could be considered “hunting”. Now, the truly interesting aspect of Letty and Javier’s relationship is how they are adapting pieces of each other into themselves. Javier went from the most basic of liars (and frankly, not a very good one at that), to someone willing to use his deceased little brother as a cover, and is now confident enough to invite Jacob’s persistent questions going forward. Javier was truly the one steering the car conversation with Jacob, and it was the first time Letty has ever faltered a little; at least that is how I interpreted the scene. I’m not sure if it was the shock of a child witnessing what Javier had done, or the fact that it was Jacob asking the questions, but it was lucky she had Javier there to really guide the conversation. From the look on Jacob’s face, I feel that he definitely believed what they were saying. Especially Javier. Jacob knows very little about Javier, and as far as Jacob knows, Javier has not lied to him yet and would therefore have no reason to believe he’d be lying now. Plus, Javier’s line of “You should always ask questions if you can’t find the answer yourself” really sealed the deal. Why would you invite questions if you’re trying to cover something up? Jacob seemed genuinely satisfied with the outcome of their conversation.
Shelby: (@ShOR_Blog): I think Javier handled it better than Letty. Letty was quick to dismiss Jacob like the child he is but Javier knows better than that. He knows that Jacob is smarter than Letty often gives him credit for. Of course, that’s nothing against Letty. She’s still learning to not be quite as selfish as she used to be. Javier has always been around kids because of Ava. So, he understands them better. So, I definitely think that Javier handled it better than Letty. As for Jacob, I’m not sure if he believed them or not. Jacob isn’t stupid. He’s an extremely intelligent and observant kid. He gets it from Letty. For me, personally, I definitely feel that this will come back to bite them later. Especially with this whole Lashever business and Estelle.
2. We don’t know about you guys, but we wanted to jump up and down with Letty and Jacob when he was accepted into Cedarwood! How do you think school will be for Jacob? Do you think “Michael” will raise any questions at his new school? Tell us your thoughts.
Janice (@starloverpensa1): I’m glad Jacob got into the school so he can have a semblance of normalcy. It was great seeing how happy Letty was for her son. I think he will do great at the school and as we’ve noticed Jacob is a chip off the Letty block and lying doesn’t seem to be an issue for him. I think he will be able to keep up with the Michael persona. As many have stated he’s quite intelligent and he doesn’t want to run the risk of getting Letty and Javier in trouble.
Karen (@InGoodCoToday): I think that Jacob will continue to develop as a top student. In a way he’ll be making up for all of his mother’s mistakes. But I do wonder if he’ll use his intelligence for good or for evil. Because he is so bright, this may raise his family’s profile in the community, which is where problems will arise.
Erin (@E_84): I was so happy that Jacob got accepted. How could he not? I think school will be great for Jacob. He’s such a great kid and he deserves to have stability in his life and friends his own age. Sometimes I even forget that he’s “Michael” and I truly hope he doesn’t slip up. I’m sure if he does he’ll just come up with a good lie. Like mother like son.
Lauren (@mslaurenrh): Will Jacob even get to go to that school now that Letty and Javier have been arrested? I was overjoyed when they received the news that Jacob was accepted, and a mix of amused and impressed when Jacob told Letty & Javier he had Googled “stupid interview questions”, because what child would even think to do that? He’s clearly very intelligent, and I can see him thriving at Cedarwood, or any competitive school setting. He is eager to learn, even wanting to get his books ASAP so he could start getting caught up. Jacob would excel in school, and I doubt he’d have any problems keeping his cover as “Michael”. I mean did you see how easily he lied to Apple about being drunk and seeing things that didn’t really happen? But how exactly is he going to attend school when his primary parental guardian has been arrested by the FBI along with her hitman boyfriend?
Shelby: (@ShOR_Blog): Ooh boy. The whole private school thing and Jacob. I’m not sure how this is going to work. Honestly, I think Jacob is going to introduce a whole handful of problems to Letty and Javier and I think that most of it is going to stem from Apple and Cedarwood. Apple is already a bad influence on him. I have no doubt that once school starts “Michael” is going to start exhibiting some of Letty’s wild behavior. I also think Jacob is just smart enough to purposefully “slip up” and Carin, her husband, and the headmaster are all going to start wondering who he is, who his parents are, and what his real name is. (I totally think Jacob is going to find a way around this whole “Michael” thing.)
3. So we have a scene where Javier interrupts a very interesting meal and conversation between Ava and Teo. The exchange between Javier and Ava was quite cold on her end. Then, of course, there is the awkward hug between Javi and Teo. Do you think Javier’s ‘Spidey senses’ were tingling when he saw Teo there with his sister?
Janice (@starloverpensa1): Ava is really pissing me off. Her treatment of Javier is breaking my heart each and every week. I can understand her not being happy with or approving of his choice of profession, but to so easily disaffiliate herself with him as a family member is so wrong. This is not to say she should approve of what he does, but being aware that he was a hitman all this time and yet still a great brother who was there for her and her daughters should count for something. The fact that he still comes to check on her and her girls after the awful way she treats him should count for something. Javier saying that it would be his first Christmas without them was gut wrenching. Teo just works my nerves with his shady and creepy behavior. I’m so happy Ava’s daughters keep calling him out on his overbearing behavior. They don’t like or trust him and I agree. When Javier came to see Ava what gave him the right to go to the door and be all up in that family moment? None! He’s too much into finding out about Javier and his dealings. Then he has the audacity to try to point the finger to Javier as the possible person who killed Silk. That sealed his fate with me. Don’t like him! I especially don’t trust him after the end of the episode!
Karen (@InGoodCoToday): I’m still wondering who Teo works for – is it the FBI, or Javier’s family, or neither? Javier was confused by Teo’s presence, but not necessarily worried. I’m totally confused about what Ava is thinking. I was relieved that the girls are giving the whole Teo thing a major reality check.
Erin (@E_84): Oh, that Teo! I don’t trust that guy at all! He’s bad news I just know it! Or are we all just getting suspicious of everyone just like Javier? I think Ava should stay far away from Teo.
Lauren (@mslaurenrh): Teo clearly has very close ties to Javier and Ava’s father, Oscar. And from what he was saying to Ava, he obviously knows what Javier does for a living. The timing of his arrival back into Ava’s life is just a little too much of a coincidence for me. Is Teo behind Silk’s death? Is Oscar out for blood, seeking revenge against Javier? Is Teo Oscar’s agent in the States? So many burning questions! You know that no matter how this storyline develops, it’s going to be interesting. Ava is understandably cold. Not only has she discovered that her brother is a contract killer, but now she has to raise her daughters alone, and deal with the fall out of her ex-husband’s death, which she holds Javier responsible for. Javier involved Silk in his lifestyle, and now Silk, as well as Ava and the girls, have paid the price. It was heartbreaking to see Javier return to Ava, only to be rejected again – but I love seeing Maria Botto on my screen! The scene between Javier and Teo was like watching two sharks circling, each waiting for the other to make the first move. I don’t know if outright alarm bells were going off in Javier’s head, but you could tell that Javier sensed something off about Teo’s presence and the timing of it all. I can’t wait to learn more about their shared history.
Shelby: (@ShOR_Blog): Oh without a doubt! Javi isn’t stupid by any means. He’s made a career from studying people, learning their routines, getting close to them and then killing them. He knows something’s up with Teo and he knows that Teo sweeped in when Ava was vulnerable. I definitely think that Javier thinks that Teo is the one who killed Silk in the first place. I mean, Teo talked about speaking to Ava and Javi’s father! We all know that Javi’s father was a soldier, a killer, a crazy fool, and goodness only knows what else! It makes me think that Teo was sent from Javi’s father or one of his brothers to finish Javi off and, in the end, he’s using Ava to get this information because the last the family knows, Ava and Javi were still on good terms. If I remember correctly, no one saw Ava kick Javi out of her life.
4. Now to the name we really never want to hear. Sean. This is the first time we’ve seen him since last season. What were your thoughts seeing him with Jacob again? We also meet Bethany who is Sean’s soon to be wife. What did you guys think of her?
Janice (@starloverpensa1): Sean is an arrogant and disgusting waste of space and human flesh. Can you tell I can’t stand him? There’s not one redeeming quality about him at all. I would say it’s his love and dedication of trying to be a father to Jacob but the holiday week that this supposed ‘church’ man gets his son he’s going to throw an adult only party. What kind of ‘adults only’ party is this? Was it really necessary to have this party when he knew Jacob was coming to spend the week with him? Bethany is another one, girl have you ever heard of personal space? The saccharine sweet greeting was just overboard. Sean is trying to present a better family unit to appear as a better option for Jacob but he’s still slimy. I don’t even believe he really wants Jacob. Jacob is a new toy that looks great but he would drown if he had to be the day to day caregiver. He just wants to be mean to Letty by taking him away if he could. Yes, I believe he’s that petty!
Karen (@InGoodCoToday): Given the other bombshells in the episode, suddenly Sean isn’t looking like Letty’s biggest problem! He and Bethany were actually used as comic relief. Because Bethany seems so sweet (almost like a female Rob) it makes her and Sean seem less threatening. However, it is possible that he is using Bethany as he hatches a plan.
Erin (@E_84): I don’t trust Sean either. HAHA! I think Javier is rubbing off on me. I don’t think Sean will ever stop trying to get Jacob away from Letty. I truly don’t and I’m not quite sure what to make of Bethany. Is Sean really in love with her? Time will definitely tell. For her sake, I hope she’s not a pawn in Sean’s plan but here’s hoping we get a few more hilarious moments with her!
Lauren (@mslaurenrh): Ugh. Sean. This is such a complicated dynamic, because Jacob clearly wants Sean as a father figure in his life, and I want Jacob to have that, because it’s what he deserves. I just can’t trust Sean. There’s something about him that is utterly false, and I am dreading the potential fall out with that. Speaking of fake… Who the heck is this Bethany character? She’s clearly not the same woman who called out “I thought you said you were meditating” in 1×03, when Christian called Sean’s phone, and she’s certainly not anyone I could see Sean jokingly calling a “badass” over the phone. You know who Bethany reminds me of? Azalea. It wouldn’t surprise me if she’s just some struggling actress that Sean hired to make him appear to have the picture-perfect life for raising Jacob. I wouldn’t put it past him to pull something like that. I think the aspect of this that I found most irritating was the fact that Sean came after Letty and tried to get full custody, was irritated that he only gets certain holidays, and then instead of making the most of the week he has with Jacob by spending quality time getting to know his son and doing stuff with him; he sent Jacob to his room while he had an “adults only” party. What is up with that? You fought to get time with your son and now you’re blowing him off? Have your party when you don’t have Jacob, and take him out to do something he’d enjoy so you can get to know him, instead of just putting him in his room. I love that Letty sent a dog to Sean’s house, that scene provided just enough vindication for Sean and Bethany being shitty people and pretty much ignoring Jacob for their “friends”.
Shelby: (@ShOR_Blog): Sean. Just… *cringe* I really dislike Sean. I don’t think he’s good for Jacob and Jacob should have never went searching for him. I’m glad Letty has custody of Jacob so that we don’t have to see Sean any more than we absolutely have to. I think Sean is manipulative and I don’t think he’s changed for one second. Jacob said they were having an “adult” party? We all know that Sean was dabbling in porn. It wouldn’t surprise me if Sean and Bethany weren’t still into that. Also, Bethany. Seriously? There are atheists that are more sincere than she is. She is not a Christian woman. I don’t care how much she spouts off about Jesus loving Letty. Letty can see right through that BS and I’m glad she did. I’m really glad she got back at Bethany by Craigslisting a dog to Sean’s house. That was the best thing ever.
5. Jetty, Rob, and Estelle head off to a beautifully decorated hotel for Christmas. We all know that Jetty and hotels go together like, well, Bonnie and Clyde. Jetty just can’t seem to break the cycle. Especially at a nice resort. They continue to revert to their ‘normal’ behavior. Well, let’s just say, it’s normal for them. Do you think they both felt back in their element? Stealing, elves, Mrs. Claus, Javier threatening people. Let’s hear it!
Janice (@starloverpensa1): Javier knows he has a mark on his back and is being overly cautious. He doesn’t know who put him on a hit list or why. I think Letty dismissed his claims on the man being a possible hitman or after him because they were far from that world in her way of thinking. They were on a family vacation and nothing should be able to touch them. The final outcome was set in stone nothing was going to change that. If Letty and Javier followed Javier’s instincts it would not prepare them for what happened later or who the guy turned out to be because they weren’t expecting the attack from where it came. Estelle. Technically they didn’t revert to their old ways on their own. It was done to help out their loved ones. Javier for Estelle and Letty for poor, sweet, Rob. Letty definitely felt in her element as she put on her wig, maneuvered those rooms and the safes, as well as dealing with that bratty little girl. I bet she’s the sister to the little boy Rob had to deal with downstairs. As for Javier, he really was trying to protect Estelle, which makes what she does later so bad that there are no words. But to put it all into perspective this is who Jetty is and they have to accept that about themselves and each other.
Karen (@InGoodCoToday): Javier clearly had a legitimate concern regarding Estelle’s alleged stalker. I think they fell into their cycle because they felt they had to handle matters themselves. They were backed into a corner (from their perspective). To be fair, Letty was the first person to suggest calling security – which would have been the right thing to do. If only it had occurred to her to suggest that they cut their stay short and not rack up any more expenses. But this time, she was stealing to get Rob out of a bind, so in a way, she continues to become less self-centered. It was the same cycle, only different.
Erin (@E_84): First of all, the whole Christmas Vacation storyline was pure brilliance! Second of all, Rob is a treasure. Having said that, I’ve come to the realization that Jetty can’t break the cycle and will revert back to their old behavior. That’s who they are, they can’t help it. They’ll do whatever they have to do and in this case. I don’t think Letty had a choice in stealing. Letty did it for Rob. She did it for family. We also got a new wig out of the deal so that was great! Let’s be honest, we all love when Letty does her thing because she is the queen. As for Javier, I didn’t blame him for what he did. He also did it for family. He was doing it for Estelle. Well, he thought he was doing it for Estelle. The family theme was important this episode and what happened at the end is definitely going to destroy that.
Lauren (@mslaurenrh): Aaah. Letty and Javier, in the Hotel, with the stealing and the threatening. Nothing says Christmas Spirit quite like thievery and a good ass-kicking. I feel like Javier has no choice but to be on high alert ever since his “job” prior to Bryce turned out to be just another hitman hired to take him out. I’m wondering how much of Letty’s reaction was a dismissal versus it simply being her in denial. No one wants to think that there’s another hitman after them (or someone they care deeply about), especially while they’re on Christmas vacation. For the first time, Letty is (mostly) sober, trying to lead a normal life. She has a steady relationship with someone she can depend on, and is rebuilding her relationship with her mother. Not to mention the absolutely stunning hotel they’re in. Of course, she doesn’t want to admit to herself, or allow herself to believe, that there is someone stalking Javier here. Letty wants to have fun. And she does. But, the real question is, would she have stolen if it weren’t for Rob’s own naiveté regarding the hotel and the difference between 5-star and all-inclusive? After all, she did have a wig on hand, which is very convenient. Did she have that out of force of habit? Or was she contemplating stealing just for fun anyway, and then felt better when Rob gave her a valid excuse to do it? And, am I the only one who loved lying elf Rob? He has such a genuine face and disarming personality. There is such an innocence about him, that I doubt anyone else could have pulled off collecting room numbers without being given a second thought, or questioned about it. Also, his reactions every time someone believed his lies and didn’t call him out… Priceless. Joey Kern as Rob is an absolute treasure to watch, and he brings something to the table that none of the other characters are able to offer. As far as Javier beating the “stalker” up, there was something oddly pleasing about that… until the fall out in the end. And then I wish he’d kind of just insisted they all leave and go somewhere else. Although, I get the feeling that regardless, there’s nothing they could have done differently to change the outcome of events. Estelle was in control of that situation, and only she had the power to stop it. I guess we can finally see where Letty learned to lie so well.
Shelby: (@ShOR_Blog): Oh my goodness! That entire sequence with Rob and Letty stealing and Rob pretending to be an elf and getting hit on and telling that little boy he wasn’t getting a gun was so priceless. So, so, priceless. Rob really doesn’t get enough credit. He’s so adorable. But, on the topic of Letty and Javi reverting back to their “normal” behavior: do you think they ever quit? I mean, seriously. This is just cake for them. Javier was making sure to protect the only family he has now, and Letty was honestly doing the same. It wasn’t that they reverted, it’s that they’re doing the only things they know how to keep their family safe. It’s a bit of a failsafe in them at this point. When everything around them just isn’t going right, this is what they can fall back on because they each know the other does what they do and they’re comfortable in their element. They’ve learned to be comfortable there.

6. Jetty always keeps it hot. You guys know what scene we’re talking about! It was beautifully done, by the way. In this episode it felt a bit more intimate than usual. How did you guys feel about the sex scene between Jetty this time around? They’re not your typical couple but they are (for the most part) honest with one another. Do you think that makes them a stronger couple or do you think it weakens them? Dying to hear your thoughts!
Janice (@starloverpensa1): With everything that happened in this episode I say it’s a great one for Jetty. I loved their moments. Although there was a bit of arguing and bickering between them they still managed to strengthen their ties to each other and convey to one another their true feelings that they have difficulty expressing verbally. I think the tension they were dealing with that incited the bickering stems from everything that Javier is dealing with his sister, the threat of the hitman, the situation with the camping trip, and just trying to fit into the “normal” mold. Whereas people may have seen the conversation in the bed as a bad thing I saw it as the best possible thing for them because it served to bring Letty’s attention to their relationship and give Javier a chance to voice his frustrations and have Letty reassure him. And oh boy did she ever. I needed a tall glass of ice after that phenomenal and gorgeous love scene. It was so beautifully done and the music was perfect. I believe in that scene, what made it so intimate and so sensual was that it wasn’t about sex so much as reassuring each other as well as using their bodies to convey the unspoken words to one another; I LOVE YOU!!! I think Letty was also giving him his honeymoon. 🙂 They’re not the most typical couple and they didn’t get together in a conventional manner, but by far they’re the best couple around who see into each other’s souls and can see what they love the most about each other and that’s what makes them want to be together and stay with each other. This whole situation strengthens them as a couple because again they draw strength from each other to become stronger as individuals and a couple and face the obstacles that come their way. Their hearts are bound to each other forever. Honorable mention to the chest stroke Letty gave Javier. The kisses between them when she gifted him with the massage and the Christmas card she gave him as he stroked her back. Also, I loved that when Javier was getting arrested Letty thought only about him and trying to avoid his arrest. She truly went Bonnie to his Clyde. I agree with a post I saw that stated we need a Jetty wedding as extra insurance that they can’t testify against each other. LOL. The Jetty pairing was the greatest thing created for television.
Karen (@InGoodCoToday): That was definitely more of a love scene than a sex scene, which was a great way to show their relationship progressing. Unfortunately, it also means they are letting their guards down – which makes it harder for them to go on tempting the law and telling the big lies to those around them.
Erin (@E_84): I loved this scene!!! I’m actually listening to the song that was playing during the scene at this very moment. The directing, the music, everything was perfect! Michelle and Juan light up the screen. This sex scene felt a little different. I’m not quite sure why. I think it’s because Jetty are at a point in their relationship where everything is out on the table. They know who each other are, they know it’s hard for each of them to change, and I think they’ve come to terms with that. Love me as I am kind of thing. I think they are a strong couple. At the end of the day they know they have each other’s back and would do anything for each other.
Lauren (@mslaurenrh): This had to be, hands down, one of the most beautiful and artistically done sex scenes I have ever seen. The chemistry and the dynamic between these two characters is almost unreal. I don’t know if it was the music, the preceding conversation, the overall context, or some combination thereof, but this was a truly stunning scene. Letty and Javier obviously each have their own plethora of issues that they bring to the table (or in this case, the bedroom), but despite all that, they always seem to find a way to connect and communicate – even if there are no actual words involved. This scene was deeply intimate, and there was a lot of physical communication between the two, after they found that verbal communication had failed to convey what each means to the other. You could read that Letty wasn’t sure how to verbally respond to Javier, and it was clear this was her way of answering his question, “Why are we still together?” by showing him rather than telling him. It was a nice call back to the scene in 1×08, when Javier stumbles in after the Bachelor Party 2.0 with Rob. I think the fact that Letty and Javier know the bare bones truth about who the other person really is has set a solid foundation for their relationship. They know the worst parts of each other, have seen them in action, yet they still want to be there together supporting each other. To me, that is deeply romantic and creates a stronger relationship than either of them have ever had or known before.
Shelby: (@ShOR_Blog): *screams into the void* OH MY GOD THAT SCENE!!!! I have so much to say about that scene but I’ll tone it down a bit for this or else it’ll be hella long. They’ve been making love since the first episode. Javier has always worn his heart on his sleeve with her. Always. I will be adamant about that until my dying breath. But, you’re right. This was a much more intimate scene which was so refreshing!! Their rough nights in the sheets are for pure, carnal, pleasure and the need to hide behind their walls and their constructs they’ve been using for soooooo long but those walls are really beginning to crumble this season. I mistook that at the beginning of the season as their relationship starting to crumble but it’s become so much more than that, thank God. (As much as it would be interesting to see them fight against each other but, I digress.) I really think this is the turning point to their relationship. They both acknowledge that they’ve been trying to change the other and this sex scene is them putting that aside, healing wounds, and just being them. I definitely think that in the episodes to follow, we’ll see them and their relationship strengthening and it’s going to beautiful.
7. Well, we wanted to throw something with that crazy ending! Did you guys see it coming? Now that Estelle has betrayed Jetty, what does this mean for the family? More importantly, what does this mean for Jacob? Time to share those thoughts!
Janice (@starloverpensa1): My emotions were all over the place after seeing the ending and they still are. You wanted to throw something, I did throw something. Thank goodness it was just my unicorn pillow at my flat screen tv. I knew Lashever was using Christian all along. She has a one track mind with what appears to be very little emotion. I think she cares a little for Christian but she cares more for her career and getting Javier, or so it appears. Right now I’m so aggravated and pissed with Estelle that there are just no words. I understand that she was probably presented with the information that her daughter and grandson were in this dangerous situation by living with a man that kills people for a living and she was only worried for their safety. But by her own admission and seeing it with her own eyes she knew this man made her daughter happy and kept her off drugs. When she asked him about making Letty happy he stated he would try to always make her happy. She saw her grandson who was fine, happy and thriving. So I can’t find it in me to excuse her actions. She just destroyed all of the progress that Letty and she have made towards improving their relationship. This will be in Letty’s eyes a major betrayal and she will not easily forgive her mother. Hopefully, if anything, Jacob will be placed back with his grandmother but if Estelle loses him because of her betrayal she has nobody to blame but herself. Rob loves his wife so he won’t be very mad but he won’t be happy. I can’t wait to see where this mess goes and how it gets fixed.
Karen (@InGoodCoToday): Estelle played me like a piano! I completely forgot the lengths that Estelle will go through to keep Jacob safe. She was completely doing the right thing, and I think Rob will understand that. I can hear Estelle having a conversation with Letty where she says, “Letty, Javier is a murderer…that’s not a good choice”. Jacob now has 3 couples who think they are best for him. We just don’t know what Jacob’s options are until we wrap up Episode 4. Jetty and Jacob could end up back home by New Years with the new puppy!
Erin (@E_84): OMG!!!!! I freaked out at that ending!!!!! I did not see any of that coming. I still can’t believe Estelle did that! I really can’t. I really like Estelle and her new relationship with Letty and she went and ruined everything. I want to know her reasoning. She’s destroyed everything! Poor Jacob! He’s going to be separated from Letty once again and that just opens the door for Sean. Estelle had to know her actions were going to have consequences. I hope she feels remorse for what she did but it’s not going to change anything. The whole episode was about family and this happens. Let’s just hope Estelle and Rob can be there for Jacob because that kid is going to need so much support. How are Jetty going to get out of this one? Things are about to get very interesting!
Lauren (@mslaurenrh): Dun dun dun! From the instant Christian picked up those photos, and it clicked for me that this wasn’t actually Rhonda’s cabin… I was kicking myself. Everything fell into place. I felt really annoyed with myself. How could I have missed it?! There were so many subtle hints that gave it away. First, the way Estelle questioned Letty about “that drug dealer” she had to rat out to the FBI to get Jacob back – the way Estelle commented that Javier didn’t seem the type to do or sell drugs… dead giveaway. That she knew what Javier actually does for a living. Second, who drives around a surveillance vehicle just for kicks? In Christian’s defense, Rhonda totally seems the type who would do that, but there was a nagging feeling in the back of my head that something wasn’t right about that and I just dismissed it as another one of Rhonda’s quirks. I wish I hadn’t! Another great moment of foreshadowing was when Estelle commented to Javier that if she told Rob about the creeper, he would have killed him and ended up in jail. That line clearly defined Estelle’s sense of morality re: murder. Add up all of these elements and it turns out the truth had been staring us in the face throughout the entire episode. I think what I’m most upset about is the fact that it took me until the end of the episode to piece it all together, and I am disappointed in myself! That, and Christmas has forever been ruined. THANKS, CHAD. Just kidding… sort of. Anyway… I had the immeasurable pleasure of reading the Letty Dobesh series over the Summer (Thanks, TNT, for my special copy of the book!), so I’ve read Grab, which has forever shattered my trust in Christian as a character. I won’t go into details, for fear of spoiling anything for anyone who hasn’t had the opportunity to read the collection of stories, but let me just say… *that* I did not see coming. Ever since then, I’m not as sure about Christian. Is Rhonda using Christian? Or is Christian using Rhonda? Whatever Rhonda’s endgame is, I believe that she genuinely enjoys spending time with Christian and views that as a bonus added to the fact that he is a useful tool in her quest to find and nab Javier. I wonder if Estelle felt any remorse at all, sitting by and listening to Rob dote on and on about how wonderful it was to have this new family. I’m also wondering if the message in Letty’s card was meant as foreshadowing re: her forgiving her mother for betraying Javier. The look in Estelle’s eyes after she read that message solidified her convictions regarding turning Javier in, as well as her belief that she was doing the right thing not only for Jacob, but for Letty as well – even though Letty might not see it that way at first. She has hope that Letty will be able to see it that way eventually, and felt comfortable enough to risk her mending relationship with her daughter in order to protect her. As far as Rob, I can see him feeling hurt and betrayed by each of them, but ultimately sticking by Estelle because he genuinely loves her. I’m dreading Jacob’s reaction once he finds out, and am so thankful he wasn’t along for this trip and didn’t have to be wrapped up in this mess. There was a moment where you could see in Letty’s eyes that she realized she was probably never going to see her son again, and that was heartbreaking. It will be equally heartbreaking when Jacob realizes he might not get to have his mom after all.
Shelby: (@ShOR_Blog): I did not see that ending coming! I was just a little scream face emoji the entire time I was watching that showdown. Like, ugh. I really dislike Estelle and what she did. I knew from the very beginning that she was a force to be reckoned with and this just proves it. I think she’s still salty about Letty swooping in and taking Jacob away from her. However, I think it all boils down to the fact that Estelle thought Javier was a drug dealer and she didn’t want him around Jacob or Letty in case his lifestyle made Letty return to the drugs, and that’s a mother’s love. She was protecting her baby and her grandson so, in a way, I respect Estelle but I still hate what she did and it’s going to haunt her for a long time. Rob was really happy on that vacation and so were Letty and Javier. In fact, that’s the happiest I’ve truly seen Javier since before the tragic dinner episode last season. He’s been struggling, and to have a happy vacation ruined? Yeah, it’s going to have repercussions but I think Letty and Javier will get out of it and they’ll be with Jacob again when the week is up.

Final Verdict: We’re dying to know what’s in store for our two favorite criminals after that mind blowing episode
We’re all left with so many questions after watching this week’s extremely twisty turny episode. Can anyone be trusted anymore? We’re all very curious as to what this means for the entire family. One thing we know for sure, it’s probably going to get very messy throughout the rest of the season. Then again, we Jetty fans feed off of the messy. Right? Right. Prepare yourself Jetty fans! We’re in for a wild ride.
