Theo Rossi Heads to the Superhero Series
Sons of Anarchy alum, Theo Rossi, lands a role in Netflix’s highly anticipated Marvel series Luke Cage as a series regular. According to Deadline, Rossi is to star as Luke Cage’s (Mike Colter) enemy Shades aka Alvarez opposite of series stars, Colter and Alfre Woodard (who is to portray a version of Black Mariah). In addition, Daredevil star, Rosario Dawson is set to reprise her role as Claire Temple in the third series from Marvel’s four-series.

That makes sense since in the comic books, Claire is a romantic interest of Luke Cage. First introduced on Daredevil, Dawson’s Claire also is set to appear in the second Marvel series, Jessica Jones — where Colter’s Cage also will make his debut — before moving to Luke Cage.
Rossi would be playing Luke Cage’s enemy Shades aka Alvarez, a well known criminal.
In Luke Cage, Colter plays Cage, a wrongly accused man who, granted super-strength by a sabotaged experiment, escapes prison to become a superhero for hire.
