Bravo Team follows the trail of money, but it doesn’t lead them to the answers they were looking for!
SEAL Team 1×15 “No Man’s Land” on CBS had us pulling our hair out in frustration. Mandy (Jessica Pare) gets involved in an information exchange with Paul, but it seems she may have made a mistake when the information doesn’t seem to be of much use. Jason (David Boreanaz) and the others follow a money trail, one they hope will lead to who is directly behind the hit on Team Echo. While we find out it may have had to do with them knowing too much, things go awry.

Trouble may be brewing within the team as Clay (Max Thieriot) and Sonny (AJ Buckley) continue to butt heads and Jason continues to take Clay’s side. This may be a situation that even mediator of the group, Ray (Neil Brown Jr.) can’t fix, especially when Ray doesn’t seem to be on Clay’s side like Jason is. Lisa (Toni Trucks) certainly isn’t left out of the action as she is responsible for leading the team on a chase down of who they think is a young boy, but in fact turns out to be a young girl, one that gets the team the first solid lead they’ve had. But it ultimately ends up not getting Team Bravo much farther in the case on who killed Team Echo.

1. Did you worry that the young girl would be harmed and Bravo Team wouldn’t have gotten the information they needed?
Bryna (@Becoming_Bryna): Heck yeah! I thought she was going to get hurt.
Manuela (@yellowhat3): I was slightly worried at first because Mandy had been having some bad luck with the leads. Then when Dorri told her story about the money being discovered and made herself an asset to help them get ahead of the thieves, I think she saved herself.
Micha (@ciaomichaella): That’s always a possibility in dangerous missions, but she seemed like she was clever enough to survive. Glad she lives to continue being an asset to the Bravo Team.
Andrea (@Andrea_Colanni): I was a little worried for her safety. While it was clear she had grown up in that type of environment, it was still really dangerous for her.
Marilyn (@Marilyn72568293): Honestly, I really wasn’t that worried for her safety. Maybe if I had really had the time to think about it that way I would have. But I was more focused on how brave she was for doing it in the first place!

2. Do you think there was a way Bravo Team could have avoided killing all the terrorists, or did they do what they had to?
Bryna: I don’t feel qualified answering this question. But seriously, I think they did what they had to do to survive.
Manuela: The terrorists are already so paranoid, Bravo Team had to avoid startling anyone at all costs. This was the only way I think. Sudden ambush.
Micha: Hard to say. It seems like a kill or be killed situation. Obviously Mandy was disappointed, or pissed, that they couldn’t keep one alive for interrogation. But sometimes that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
Andrea: This is a really hard one. They had no time to think about keeping at least one alive to question. Their lives and the lives of their team members come first. They were being threatened and they reacted exactly how they had been trained to.
Marilyn: I don’t think so. They followed protocol and did what was necessary to stay alive. That’s all anyone can ask of them. Besides, who knows if the terrorists would have had any valuable information any way. Even if they did, they probably wouldn’t have given it.

3. Mandy gives in to Paul and gives him information in exchange for some of his. But Paul’s information didn’t get Mandy far. Did she make the right choice?
Bryna: I think she is feeling him out. But I do not trust Paul.
Manuela: I am worried that Mandy is feeling a little overzealous and may be getting deceived by Paul. She keeps calling on Jason when she wants to present new leads, but I find she should listen more to his warnings concerning Paul as well.
Micha: I hope not. I’m hoping it’s an investment that will pay dividends in the long run. They’re in a tough situation and don’t necessarily know who to trust. But you can’t operate in a bubble. It costs information to get information, and Paul was pretty clear about having a quid pro quo. A ‘you scratch my back I scratch yours’ type of arrangement.
Andrea: Mandy is such a straight arrow to me. She honestly makes the best calls she can and is rarely ever wrong. Even when she is, Mandy does what she has to in order to fix everything she can. I don’t trust Paul and I definitely don’t like him. But I think Mandy made the only decision she could in the situation.
Marilyn: This week had a lot of struggles when it came to right decisions. Mandy had no way of knowing the outcome and time was running out. She had to do something and she had to do it immediately. There was no room for hesitation. So, yes, I think Mandy made the right choice.

4. Do you think we’ve seen the last of Saleem, or are we going to find out he is involved much deeper than it seems?
Bryna: I think he is still part of this mission and will pop up at some point.
Manuela: No, he is the slippery type who will slither in when it’s good for him. He was very proficient at talking a lot at Mandy without actually saying anything. Maybe she is able to decipher something between the lines?
Micha: I don’t know. That one’s tough. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
Andrea: No way. That guy is going to come back at our team with a vengeance. I just know it. He is just a rotten human being and I have a feeling he is really going to be a problem.
Marilyn: Well, I would like to say we won’t have to hear from Saleem again. But my instincts are telling me he is involved in the death of the other team so much more than we know. I just hope we find out before he does any serious damage to Jason’s team.

5. Jason made a promise that he clearly can’t keep. Do you agree with his deception, or was it unnecessary to give false hope?
Bryna: I do not agree with the deception, but they know what they are doing.
Manuela: Yes, I agree implicitly because of the way Dorri reacted to the money and immediately changed her tune and was willing to give up all the men. They have been pegging off many people, it’s time to pull out all the stops to get the bullseye!
Micha: He’s in the mindset that he’s willing to say anything to get to the bottom of who killed Steve and the rest of Echo Team. Maybe he had his fingers crossed behind his back when he made the promise, so it doesn’t count.
Andrea: I was so conflicted about this! I completely understand why Jason did what he did. But I can’t help but imagine how that poor girl is going to feel when she realizes the truth. So awful!
Marilyn: I think it’s hard to answer that without really understanding where Jason was coming from when he said it. He needed answers and he was desperate and willing to do anything to get them. Jason did what he had to do. But I do feel bad for the girl.

6. Did you think the money would lead Bravo Team directly to the person responsible for Echo Team’s deaths? Or did you know the case would run deeper?
Bryna: I think the case will definitely run deeper. But that money seems to be financing more than just the heroin business.
Manuela: The money was definitely easy bait. But like Mandy said, they would still be a thousand miles away from the drug lord. So, there would still be many pawns to get through until they reach the intended culprit.
Micha: I suspected it would run deeper just because the more info they get, the more answers they have. The plot thickens every week. It’s keeping me engaged for sure.
Andrea: Part of me was hoping! But at the same time, I had a feeling that this whole thing was just going to run deeper. Some serious corruption is going to end up exposed. I just hope it doesn’t come at the cost of a member of Bravo Team!
Marilyn: With the way they’ve changed things up with this story line, I figured there was no way it was going to come to an end just like that. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. Part of me wonders if the farm was all part of a set up. I guess we’ll see

7. Yet another person has appeared on base. What are your thoughts on Amy and what her intentions could be?
Bryna: Glad she was not hurt, but they still need to find out what her intentions are beyond wanting to go to America.
Manuela: Ugh. I want her to be gone. Okay, so she spoke to Steve Porter, but so did Paul. When she said “it could have been her guys out there burning that field” which guys is she talking about? I don’t know if she is also looking for retribution for the men who died. On the other hand, I would like to see more of Vanessa!
Micha: I acknowledge my bias as a hardcore Bones fan that it reminded me of ‘she who shall not be named’. I hope they’re not introducing her as a potential love interest for Jason. That wouldn’t make me happy, at least for now. I guess we’ll see how this goes.
Andrea: What is with all the new people popping up when the season is more than halfway done?! It makes me so suspicious of the newcomers. Part of me feels like with the timing of these people coming in they must be involved in the deaths of Echo Team. This show is making me paranoid!
Marilyn: Not to sound bitter, but we have enough people to keep track of. We just don’t need anymore characters popping up on the board. It’s hard enough keeping track of not only the team, but their families at home as well. Besides that, I don’t trust any of the new people anyway!

Final Verdict: Things may be heating up, but the new players entering the game have us hesitating!
So, we were a little iffy in the beginning of this story line. But it is definitely growing on us. This is why we trust the writers the way they do. Even when we get nervous about a shift in the show, we remain confident that the writers will be able to pull it off. We certainly weren’t disappointed in this case. As things continue to get darker and more convoluted, we’re pacing the floors in frustration and wonder as to just who is behind the killing of Team Echo. Add to that the worry we feel for what will happen to Team Bravo as they continue digging into this, and you’ve got an extremely attentive audience!

While we love Clay, things are definitely strange between him and Jason. It’s just so hard to believe that after all this time of Jason being so against Clay and the rest of the team telling him to ease up on the newbie, things have flipped. Now Jason is all about Clay and the rest of his ideas and the rest of the team is ready to hang Clay upside down? Something about this just isn’t sitting right with us and we’re a little nervous to find out what the real reason behind the change is. We’re sure this is going to mount to something unexpected and the one thing we are sure of is that we’re not going to be prepared for it!
Things certainly aren’t going to get any less exciting in the coming weeks. With just seven episodes left, we’re hoping the killer of Team Echo is going to be resolved soon. The season will certainly be ending on an explosive note and while part of us is excited about that, the other part is terrified. Especially since next week is going to involve Sonny being injured and having to rely on Clay. Can we call the fact that Clay and Sonny will have to get along a bright side to the situation? We’ll have to tune in next week to find out if Sonny and Clay will finally get over their differences and really learn how to work together as a team!
