Hot Topic: Christopher Tolkien has resigned as Tolkien Estate Director which could bring changes to the Lord of the Rings Universe

This may possibly bring changes to future plans. Christopher Tolkien is the 93-year-old son of the mind behind Lord of the Rings and up until he officially resigned, he had the say as to how to handle his father’s vision and who has control of his stories. This news comes just after it was announced that Amazon was developing a TV series based on the franchise. The news of this series has come to the dismay of many fans of the franchise. Screenrant wrote that the controversial series is only happening because Tolkien stepped down. Will the vision of J.R.R. Tolkien continue to be respected or does this mean huge changes? Well we can’t tell you for sure but we’ll definitely be following this story.
Guess Who: A New Behind the Scenes Image Shows a Doctor Who and Sherlock Crossover Could be in the Works – See the Photo!

The crossover between BBC’s Sherlock and Doctor Who that you’ve been waiting for might happen, at least we hope. Alright it could be a stretch but it could happen, right? This past week, Rachel Talalay, who has directed episodes for both shows recently tweeted:
“Promised #LIWho I’d finally post this: #PCap visiting (no conspiracy) me at #Sherlock221b last year. In costume as he was working on Class that day. Now i’m done over-explaining, great moment for #WhoLock #DoctorWho”
She also posted this photo of Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi on the set of Sherlock! Could this mean more Benedict Cumberbatch? Talalay was quick to dispel rumors but you never know right?

Talent Interviews: Jason Momoa Speaks Dothraki, Caroline Rhea Reveals the Story Behind her Accepting her Role on Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Charles Dance is Rooting for a Game of Thrones Prequel

Let’s have the interview roundup. First up, Jason Momoa appeared on the Graham Norton Show in a hilarious interview where he appeared on to promote Justice League. During the interview, he spoke about his leading role for Aquaman and talked about his turn as Drogo. He revealed he can in fact still speak Dothraki and it was pretty hilarious. He did have more to say about Game of Thrones than to promote his upcoming film but who’s complaining right?
A Sabrina the Teenage Witch reunion happened as an Entertainment Weekly special and Caroline Rhea, who played Aunt Hilda on the series spoke about why she took the role in the first place. And believe it or not, it was because of a bad breakup she had just gone through. She said they broke up even before their photos were developed. Looks like it worked out for the better we’d say! You can view the entire reunion special here!
Finally, Game of Thrones actor Charles Dance spoke to Metro about his time on the show and whether or not he’d want to make a return to Westeros. Game of Thrones has five prequels in development that will look further into the characters themselves. On the prequels, Dance said, “If it was in the same caliber, yes. Because Game Of Thrones really was as good as it gets. It’s a fantastic series. I look back on it fondly.” He revealed that while it was pretty cold he would do it again.
And that’s been another edition of Fantasy After Dark.
