OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
PREMIERE: CPD’S KEVIN ATWATER IS CHARGED WITH MURDER. Stone (Philip Winchester) and the State’s Attorney team investigates the chain of events following the arrest and death of a young man, ultimately seeking charges against Police, Fire Department and Medical personnel, only to have a recalcitrant Grand Jury indict a single individual: Officer Kevin Atwater (guest star LaRoyce Hawkins). Paul Robinette (guest star Richard Brooks reprising his LAW & ORDER role) defends Atwater. Also starring Jon Seda, Carl Weathers, Joelle Carter and Monica Barbaro. Guest starring Jason Beghe, Marina Squerciati and Amy Morton.

From creator Dick Wolf (Law and Order, Chicago Fire) comes the next spin off in the hit Chicago franchise starring Jon Seda (Chicago P.D.) as Antonio Dawson, making the change from Intelligence detective to Chief Investigator. Philip Winchester as Peter Stone, the Deputy Chief of the Special Prosecutions Bureau. Carl Weathers playing Cook County State’s Attorney Mark Jefferies. Monica Barbaro plays Assistant State’s Attorney Anna Valdez, who’s willing to bend the rules to get the right result. And Joelle Carter as Laura Nagel, a tough State’s Attorney Investigator who sees every case through the victim. Together they form the State’s Attorney’s team of prosecutors and investigators who dedicate themselves in bringing justice to the city of Chicago.
