Beyond Hunger: A Place at the Table Honors Ian Somerhalder

A 2014 Noble Globe Award Honoree

Heifer International’s annual Beyond Hunger: A Place at the Table takes place during Emmy week each year. The event aims to raise awareness and gather resources for marginalized women and their families all over the world. The Vampire Diaries Ian Somerhalder (Damon) was in attendance at this year’s event held at Montage Beverly Hills (Aug. 22). Ian was celebrated as one of the evening’s Noble Globe Award honorees, which recognizes Heifer supporters and others dedicated to ending world hunger. In addition to our beloved TVD star, other Noble Globe Award honorees included Diane Lane, Tom Colicchio & Lori Silverbush,and Annie Griffiths. Other celebrities attending the event included, Ty Burrell, Ed Asner, Colbie Caillat, Sheryl Crow, Jeff Bridges Amber Tamblyn and Carson Daly just to name a few.
