Celebrities Everywhere Brave the Cold for a Good Cause
The annual ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has become a viral movement this year. Everyone from actors and actresses to sports stars, celebrities everywhere are embracing the cause. The challenge involves people getting doused with buckets of ice water on video. The video then is posited to Facebook, Twitter, Youtube or any social media and nominating three others to take the challenge. Those who is refuse the challenge are asked to make a donation to any ALS, (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) charity. Below are a few video clips of some of our favorite celebrities taking on the challenge.

On the Arrow set, hunky, Stephen Amell, who plays the masked hero, Oliver Queen, takes on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in the video below. With help from co-star Colton Hayes (Roy Harper), Stephen is drenched with freezing water. By the way, he takes on the challenge shirtless. Enjoy ladies.
The handsome men from NBC’s The Voice took part of the challenge. In the video below, Carson Daly, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine take turns soaking each other with freezing cold water to raise ALS awareness..
The challenge even made it’s way to late night television. On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he and the night’s guest, Let’s Be Cops star, Rob Riggle, Horatio Sanz, The Roots and Steve Higgins all accept the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Check out the video clip below.
The challenge reached reality TV stars as well. Duck Dynasty‘s Willie Robertson even took time out of his busy schedule as Duck Commander CEO to participate in the challenge. He awaits the icy water when his brother, Jase and employee, Martin, dump an entire garbage pail of water on him from the Duck Commander warehouse’s roof!
Even WWE superstars joined the cause. WWE Hall of Famer and former 23 time WWE championship holder,Triple H took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge. In front of Los Angeles’ Staples Center, he soaks himself with icy water in the video clip below.
Professional sports teams helped raise awareness too, with many NBA, MLB and NFL teams accepting the Ice Bucket Challenge. The New York Jets took the challenge, but put their own twist on their acceptance. The NFL team chose to be soaked with the freezing water in a unique way, with a fire hose! Check it out!
Country music star, Eric Church also accepted the challenge. He too, put a twist to his acceptance and opted to be soaked with icy water in true country style. Take a look below as Eric is drenched for the cause from the bucket of a John Deer tractor.
But so far the most epic ALS Ice Bucket Challenge acceptance belongs to NHL star, Paul Bissonnette. The Phoenix Coyotes’ forward takes the challenge to the next level as he is drenched with freezing cold water by a helicopter atop a mountaintop in Washington. Take a look at the video clip below. The man behind the annual ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is former athlete, Pete Frates, who suffers himself from the debilitating disease. Despite being diagnosed with the incurable disease in 2012, Pete keeps a smile on his face as he takes the challenge this year from Boston’s legendary Fenway Park.
