Nina Dobrev Guest Stars in The Originals 2×05
We’ve been waiting for weeks for a glimpse of The Vampire Diaries‘ talented Nina Dobrev (Elena) portrayal of the original doppelganger, Tatia, on The Originals. Finally, E Online shares a sneak at the episode titled, “The Red Door,” with not one, but three photos of the November 3rd episode. In a flashback, we meet the woman both Mikealson brothers loved all those years ago before they were turned into vampires. Series creator and executive producer, Julie Plec explains, “The character of Tatia is part of their history and is kind of a dangling chad. It’s something we brought up a long time ago and never paid off.” Nina describes taking on a fourth character as “really fun” and reveals Tatia the most pure of all the Petrovas. She explains, “She was just sort of the dealing with love that went wrong. She’s the original and so she kind of feels the most pure, to me, of all the characters ,and unaffected and doesn’t have all of this previous history of the doppelgangers preceding her to add pressure.” Take a look at the rest of the photos below.
