Social Frenzy: DC’s Titans will visit Gotham City
Brenton Thwaites, who will be playing Dick Grayson/Robin in the upcoming DC series Titans, recently posted an image of himself in costume on Instagram and revealed a well-known location that will be making it into the series. What’s the location? Gotham City, of course!
Rumor Has It: Will The Question be used in an upcoming DC movie?
Marc Guggenheim, the showrunner of Arrow, recently discussed a variety of Arrow-related topics and revealed that he’d love to use The Question as a character on the show. However, the character is currently off-limits for use in the Arrowverse. He further hinted that DC has plans for the character but he’s uncertain what those plans might be. Will The Question be used in an upcoming DC Universe movie? That’s a good question.
“[…] and they’ve got other plans for The Question… I don’t know what their plans are, but clearly they do have plans – otherwise we’d be using him.”
– Marc Guggenheim (Arrow showrunner)
Interviews: Vincent D’Onofrio and Deborah Ann Woll discuss season 3 of Daredevil, Emma Dumont from The Gifted talks about Magneto, and more!
Emma Dumont, who plays Polaris on FOX’s The Gifted, recently spoke to Uproxx about the X-Men and whether or not they would work well on TV. In a Q&A session with TVLine, she talked about how Polaris’ father, Magneto, will be playing a role in the season finale and hinted at what might be in store for her character.
Both Vincent D’Onofrio and Deborah Ann Woll discussed their characters in the upcoming third season of Netflix’s Daredevil. D’Onofrio talked about how Wilson Fisk’s role will be different than what we saw in the first season. His character will be evolving in a manner that’s appropriate for Fisk while also doing something new with the character. Deborah Ann Woll recently spoke about where she’d like to see Karen Page go next. At the top of her list is exploring Karen’s past.
“Definitely her past. We’ve been hinting at it, and I hope that we eventually unwrap that candy. That’s cool to me.”
– Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page)
Salim Akil, the showrunner for The CW’s upcoming DC Comics-based series Black Lightning, discussed what he found to be the most difficult part of making the show. For him, it was coming to grips with the fact that Jefferson Pierce can shoot lightning from his fingertips.
“Someone asked me, what’s the most difficult aspect of doing the show, and it really is me coming to terms with that he has powers, because I could write a whole script without him ever using his powers, which nobody wants me to do.”
– Salim Akil (showrunner)
Fans of Arrow‘s Deathstroke will be disappointed to learn that the character will once again off limits in the near future. This will be due to the character making his big screen debut. Marc Guggenheim also recently said that there aren’t any plans to introduce Bruce Wayne in the Arrowverse despite Oliver mentioning him earlier in the season. Like with other similar name drops, it was intended to be an Easter egg and not foreshadowing of a future plotline.
David Mazouz, who plays Bruce Wayne on FOX’s Gotham, recently talked about the possibility of a crossover with the Arrowverse. He would love to have the Flash time travel and end up in Gotham to start off the hypothetical storyline.
