Lisa Berry is Set to Enter the Shadow World as Iron Sister (and Sibling of Wolf Alpha Luke Garroway) Cleophas
Shadowhunters social media accounts teased the announcement of a major season two character, and the wait is now over! The official website has just reported that actress Lisa Berry, known best for her recurring role as Billie the Reaper on Supernatural, will be coming on to play Sister Cleophas. Her other works include roles in Continuum, Nikita, The Colony, and No Stranger Than Love.

As fans of the Mortal Instruments series know, the character was originally written as the woman who abandoned both of her children, Amatis and Lucian (Luke) when they were young children. She was later discovered to be one of the Iron Sisters, female counterparts to the Silent Brothers, and eventually assisted in the separation of Jace from Sebastian.
For the show, the Iron Sisters will maintain their role as the guardians of the armory at Adamant Citadel. However, Executive Producer Darren Swimmer explained that this Sister Cleophas will not appear as she is written in the books.
“We’re excited about our new spin on the character Cleophas, who in the books was Luke’s mother. In the show she’s one of Luke’s sisters, a fierce, formidable presence and a woman of strong principles and conviction.”
