The team’s path is quickly leading to answers as true loyalties are revealed!
SEAL Team 1×19 “Takedown” on CBS had us feeling the anger right along with cheering. Mandy (Jessica Pare) is able to get one over on Paul (Darren Pettie) and we were pretty proud of her! Meanwhile, Jason’s (David Boreanaz) suspicions about Amy (Dawn Olivieri) are being proven correct. Amy has been lying to Jason for quite some time and the truth coming out was inevitable. Mandy also has her hands full trying to get information out of Balladur. But her interrogation abilities just may be put to the test with Balladur doing his best to resist giving out any information at all.

Meanwhile, Ray (Neil Brown Jr.) has more troubles coming from his shoulder injury. While he doesn’t seem to be in as much pain as before, consequences are still coming his way. It seems his grenade ended up killing an innocent young boy. Not only could Ray be facing legal ramifications, but he’s also suffering from a guilty conscience. His punishment will only be worse if anyone finds out about his damaged shoulder. Ray’s wife is sure to tell him that no one can find out about his shoulder. But Ray seems to be on the fence about how he feels he should pay for the innocent child’s death.

1. Mandy finally seemed to get one over on Paul. Do you think Paul knows he was being played? Or does he remain clueless?
Bryna (@Becoming_Bryna): I think Paul thought he wasn’t being played. However, he was still trying to guilt Mandy so she would feel bad and maybe next time give him information. Either way, manipulation is tuling over there.
Manuela (@yellowhat3): Paul seems very shifty to me and his reaction to what Mandy told him was dull. I’m not sure how to put it, but I don’t think he cares about being played or not. He just wants Mandy to keep talking to him.
Micha (@ciaomichaella): I think Paul definitely suspected something. He’s been at his job and in that region long enough to not be clueless.
Andrea (@Andrea_Colanni): Paul definitely got the sense that something was going on, but I don’t think he realized that Mandy played him.
Marilyn (@Marilyn72568293): Paul is super shady and if he had any indication that Mandy was playing him, he didn’t act like it was a big deal.

2. When the team grabbed the bike messenger, did you know he didn’t have anything to do with the sniper? Or did you think the team had caught a break?
Bryna: I thought the team caught a break.
Manuela: I knew he was going to be a dud, but I also loved Mandy’s plan. So I was happy it was well executed to snuff out the person who paid the sniper.
Micha: I’ve learned not to count on easy wins and breaks anymore. Mostly for the purposes of moving the plot along. It seems like one of those Russian dolls within a doll situation. More questions surface the second the team seems to get one answered.
Andrea: If I really thought about it, I would have assumed the bike messenger was a dead end. But in the moment, I think I just wanted resolution so badly that I hoped it would lead somewhere.
Marilyn: I was definitely hoping it wouldn’t be a dead end. But I really wasn’t surprised when it turned out to be nothing. That seems like the end of every path the team takes.

3. Mandy, Jason, and Ray came together in an ultimate team up. What did you think of the way they worked together?
Bryna: They need to do it more!
Manuela: Seamless and complete trust in one another. The confidence is there one hundred percent that the job will get done. I loved it!
Micha: They certainly do make a great team.
Andrea: I loved it! Especially since any time Jason and Mandy take off on their own, it’s pure gold. Adding Ray to their fold just made it that much better. I would love to see these three team up again!
Marilyn: It was a nice side team to see. Sometimes I feel like when the whole team is working on something, it can get confusing. There are just so many of them going in different directions. This was a great team up to see.

4. Ray’s shoulder injury really comes back to bite him as there are more consequences from his grenade than he originally thought. What do you think Ray’s future holds with this situation?
Bryna: It is going to bite back more and get worse before it gets better.
Manuela: Truth is the best policy. Since he reacted so quickly and honestly from the start, I believe he will work things out. He’ll have the chance to fix his shoulder and get back to the team, ready to go!
Micha: I really hope it’s something that gets addressed and resolved ASAP. I don’t want to lose Ray because of it.
Andrea: I’m so worried about Ray! I just knew his shoulder wasn’t done causing him trouble. As long as he doesn’t end up losing his family or his career, I’ll be okay.
Marilyn: The situation doesn’t look good and I have a feeling Ray is going to be in some deep trouble. I don’t think the show will have him get kicked from the team. But maybe that’s wishful thinking. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

5. Amy is still claiming ignorance about Steve’s drill. Do you believe her? Or does she have something to do with the assassination of Echo Team?
Bryna: I do not trust Amy. Like someone mentioned online, she went after the leader. Right when he was most vulnerable in his relationship with Alanna.
Manuela: I don’t believe anything Amy says and I was so upset she lied to Jason. I was seeing red! The whole company she works for is guilty as far as I’m concerned!
Micha: I think we all know I was not a fan to begin with. I hope this is the last we see of her.
Andrea: I have hated Amy since the beginning. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if she had something to do with the deaths of Echo Team. She certainly entered the show at a suspicious time and has been shady ever since.
Marilyn: That’s a hard one. Mostly because I don’t think Amy is very well liked by us viewers. But maybe they want it that way so it’s misleading. Only time will tell! But I think it’s possible Amy is involved.

6. Do you think that Mandy will be able to put her interrogation expertise to use and get any actual answers from Balladur?
Bryna: Balladur won’t let anyone break him. He is probably thinking of ways to send himself to heaven.
Manuela: Yes! Already in the first interrogation scene, Balladur looked rattled when Mandy raised her voice at him and then said he will remain in custody for as long as they want.
Micha: Mandy is a fierce woman. I hope she can use her skills to squeeze Balladur.
Andrea: I sure hope so! I love Mandy’s techniques in the interrogation room. Especially when she gets mad. Right now? She’s pretty upset, so let’s hope she gets the answers she needs.
Marilyn: Mandy is so much more capable than we realize. She is always surprising me! I definitely think her special brand of interrogation could get somewhere helpful with Balladur.

7. The friendship between Mandy and Paul seems to have come to an end. Do you think this is for the best? Or should they try to mend the friendship?
Bryna: Seems like it is coming to an understanding. Job before all else, even if they have to use people.
Manuela: I think Paul will linger and if Mandy reaches out to him again, he will listen and stay connected. I wouldn’t call it a friendship. More of a tolerable presence for Mandy.
Micha: Unlike Amy and Jason, I hope things are not over between Paul and Mandy. When it comes to Amy and Jason, I hope it’s like a Sex and the City quote; “so over we need a new word for over”.
Andrea: I’m so glad it’s over! Maybe Mandy could strike up a friendship with a less shady media representative. I get that she could really use the intel but putting up with Paul is so not worth it.
Marilyn: Mending the friendship may be good for the team in general, but I don’t think it’s a good relationship for Mandy. So I hope Mandy leaves it be and stays away from Paul.

Final Verdict: We’re finally close to getting some real answers about the assassination!
The story with Amy and Paul has been suspicious since the beginning. The writers have kept us hooked questioning whether or not Amy and Paul were on the good side or the bad. Answers about Amy are leaning toward the bad side, whereas Paul just seems to be on whichever side benefits him the most at the moment. But Amy’s deceptions are still being revealed and she could have a part in the assassination of Echo Team. We can’t wait to find out and the writers are doing a great job of keeping us hooked until all the answers are revealed.

Paul has been lingering around Mandy since the moment he entered the show. He hasn’t really provided much useful material and we are long past ready to be rid of him. Paul hasn’t been a good influence on Mandy and has forced her to act out of character. She’s fiercely honest and having to bargain with Paul for information has forced her to do things that go completely against the honesty she usually displays. Then there’s the matter of Amy. The answers about her deception are becoming more clear, but we didn’t get the showdown we expected and wanted. We need for Jason to confront Amy and get rid of her.
The team may be in for more than they bargained for when the chances of them being led into a trap are high. Jason and the others are tasked with catching a target that has a pretty high value on his head. But the whole mission to capture him may all be a ruse and our team may be in more danger than ever!
