Just when we were all ready to jump back on the #Japril ship again, we noticed things heating up between Jackson and Maggie. Could the #Magson ship leave port first?
When you work at the hospital on Grey’s Anatomy we guess it’s only natural to date all of your co-workers, but after their hotel hook-up, we thought that Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) were on their way to getting back together. That is until Maggie’s mom came back to town and brought her secret with her that only Jackson knew. Once Jackson convinced her to spill the beans you could feel Jackson and Maggie (Kelly McCreary) growing closer. Let’s break this down shippers and see who deserves Jackson’s affections the most.
Jackson and April
What we love about them: Their chemistry.
Jackson and April have always had phenomenal chemistry. Whether they were getting along or fighting over something silly, which is probably why Jackson stopped April’s wedding and the two of them got married. They literally can’t keep their hands off each other and it’s usually that type of fiery relationship that will bring a couple closer or tear them apart. In their case, it was the later. When they became parents to Harriett we personally thought that would bring them back together and initially it looked like it was going to when April moved in with Jackson, then it ended up being more like a business arrangement. Then again, there’s nothing wrong with having hope…right?

The best of April: Her perseverance.
April is anything but a quitter. No matter the situation she is given she doesn’t give up. When she and Jackson learned that their first child, Samuel, would not survive after birth, she still decided to carry him no matter the outcome. She held onto the chance for a miracle. She didn’t want to give up on her marriage to Jackson and tried to work things out with him as long as humanly possible. Sure that meant going to a war zone a couple of times but if she wasn’t there he couldn’t divorce her. We like her logic! April knows that Jackson is her soulmate and even if they don’t find their way back to each other he’ll always have a place in her heart and she’ll always fight for that.
The worst of April: Her passiveness.
At times April can be passive. She is known to be a “yes man.” If she’s asked to do something by the Chief she does it without even thinking because she thinks it will further her career and she doesn’t think about how it will affect those around her, including Jackson. This causes huge relationship issues for her. We think being more assertive will help April in the romance department in the long run. So far we know Jackson hasn’t liked April being so passive right? Do you guys think she could win Jackson back if she were to be a little more assertive?
Jackson and Maggie
What we love about them: Their Friendship.
Maggie is that girl. You know the one…the one that always gets put in the “friend zone” almost immediately. It’s hard to tell if that’s where Jackson has her right now. We’re picking up that she has feelings for Jackson, however, it’s hard to tell if he’s reciprocating them. He values their friendship and he’s been there to help her through her mom’s death, this was even after she blamed him for it! Time will tell if there is romance in the cards for these two.

The best of Maggie: Her Spirit.
Maggie is a genuinely happy person. Her spirit is infectious, which we find amazing because she is the exact opposite of her sister Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). She is everyone’s cheerleader and there to try to turn your frown upside down. Before a surgery she lets co-workers know that they can do it and they’re the best in their field. She really is an awesome friend.
The worst of Maggie: Her Gossip Habit.
Maggie is always up in everyone’s business. If there is something going on in the hospital she’s the one to know about it first and the one to go to if you want to know about it. No guy likes a woman who likes to gossip because they don’t want their relationship business told to everyone in the workplace. Since Jackson is an Avery he has to be very careful who he lets into his life and his bedroom. What do you guys think? Do you think he’s willing to take a risk with Maggie?
