Mekia Cox Enters Detective Cornell’s World
Grey’s Anatomy and Gotham actress, Mekia Cox, has landed a starring role in the highly anticipated season of the ABC anthology crime drama, Secrets and Lies. Deadline reports Cox has been cast opposite Juliette Lewis and Michael Ealy as Amanda Warner.
Written by Barbie Kligman and directed by Adam Arkin, the second season will feature an all-new crime featuring Eric Warner (Ealy), a newly married heir apparent who is under suspicion when his wife is murdered. Cox…will play Amanda Warner, Eric’s sister, and wife of a prominent Charlotte surgeon, who works as a criminal attorney for the Public Defender’s office. She idolizes her older brother Eric and is fiercely protective of him, immediately coming to his aid when he is targeted by Detective Cornell as the prime suspect in the murder of his wife.
