Maisie Richardson-Sellers Goes from the Supernatural to Superhero!
The Originals alum, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, landed a role as a season regular in the popular CW superhero drama, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s highly anticipated second season. According to TV Insider, she’s been cast as the series’ new face of DC Comic’s character, Vixen.

This version is the grandmother of the Vixen who headlines her own CW Seed animated series and made a live-action appearance on Arrow last season (both played by Megalyn Echikunwoke). Legends’ time-traveling premise will likely help explain how a “grandmother” is being portrayed by an actress in her twenties!
Richardson-Sellers’ character—a series regular in Season 2—is Amaya Jiwe, described by Warner Bros. and The CW as “the newest superhero to board the Waverider and join the ranks of the Legends of Tomorrow. Like her granddaughter, Mari McCabe, Amaya’s powers are derived from the mysterious Tantu Totem, which allows her to magically access the abilities of animals.”
