Ratings for The Walking Dead and Lucifer drop slightly and Black Mirror gets renewed for a season 5
Horror After Dark Issue #11: We have a lot of horror scoops for you this week. Before we get started, be sure catch up on last week’s news. Alright, let’s get into it.
Did you catch Sunday’s Oscar red carpet or the latest episode of The Walking Dead? Well, E’s red carpet coverage and the walker series both had pretty low ratings. This year’s Oscar coverage went down 0/9% from last year, especially amongst its demographic of 18-49 year olds. The Walking Dead and Lucifer similarly dropped to its lowest rating since Season 2.
Black Mirror fans! The highly praised Netflix series has just been renewed for its fifth season. There’s no word on how many episodes the season has but the future sure looks bright.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) of The Walking Dead pens a heartfelt goodbye message to his co-star Chandler Riggs (Carl) on Instagram.
The lawsuit against TWD by former Executive Producer Frank Darabont continues! Apparently, the lawsuit is just getting started as both sides have begun to file paperwork related to the suit over profits AMC owes Darabont.
Chandler Riggs talked about the hardest part about filming his final episode. According to EW, Riggs said saying goodbye to his character Carl’s little sister Judith was so sad:
“The goodbye scene with Judith, I think, is always going to get me, just because of how depressing some of the stuff I was saying was. I remember when I read the script, I was like, ‘Gosh, I’m going to have to say all that?’”

Interviews: Creator of The Walking Dead makes a new comic series!
Creator of The Walking Dead comics and TV series Robert Kirkman has launched a new comic series called Oblivion Song! In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, he mentions what the series is about and more. The series is expected to hit shelves soon.
“An enigmatic event [years before the story of The Walking Dead] that leaves some men and women trapped inside a hellish world referred to as ‘Oblivion.’ Protagonist Nathan Cole takes it upon himself to travel to this world and save the people left behind, despite little to no assistance from government agencies.”
