Stephen King’s The Bone Church is becoming a television series! This greenlight marks the second work of King’s to be picked up to television in recent weeks, so expect to see a lot more from him soon. The Bone Church, based on King’s 1960’s poem, follows “an adventurer who’ organizes an expedition deep into a vast jungleland to locate the mythic Bone Church.” Check out more details here.
Andrew Lincoln made a “musical” goodbye video for Chandler Riggs’ departure from The Walking Dead.
Calling all The Exorcist fans! Sean Crouch has stepped in as showrunner for the 2nd season of Amazon’s horror series Lore. Expect to see “a real-life horror stories that make this series unlike anything else on television.”
Finally, ratings are looking pretty good for The Walking Dead. Carl’s departure episode last Sunday earned a total of 8.3 million viewers, even beating the Olympics closing ceremony!

Hot Topic: USA and Syfy find the leads for its series The Purge
USA and Syfy’s The Purge has found its leads in Gabriel Chavarria from East Los High and Jessica Garza from Six! According to Deadline, “Chavarria will play Miguel, a US Marine with a hard edge and a noble mission…” and Garza will play Penelope, Miguel’s little sister.” The entire series takes place during and after Purge Night, where the two must protect their family together.
Guess Who: Sarah Wayne Callies and Michael Shanks join mini-series Unspeakable
The Walking Dead alum Sarah Wayne Callies and Saving Hope’s Michael Shanks have joined the new mini-series Unspeakable. The CBC and SundanceTV series will track the real-life 1980s scandal where thousands of Canadians contracted HIV and Hepatitis C from tainted blood.
