Welcome to Issue #4 of Horror After Dark! There’s so much news this week but let’s catch up on our previous issue quickly.
Black Mirror co-creators Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones hope Season 4 of the Netflix series is stronger than the rest. After Season 3’s hit episode “San Junipero,” both co-creators stated that they wanted each episode this time around to have a “range of emotions and experiences.” Read more on what they expect from the show here.
Variety spoke with Stranger Things’ own David Harbour on Season 3 of the series, how he’ll top his SAG awards speech and what he looks for in a good script.

Norman Reedus of TWD apparently wants to play his character, Daryl Dixon, forever. In fact, he thanks his success on the show to the “fans [who] have been involved in the show on social media from the get-go.” Seeing as the show just got renewed for another season, we can definitely expect more Daryl.

Hot Topic: A new Hulu horror anthology series is coming, AMC reveals the premiere dates of its lineup and The Walking Dead gets greenlit for Season 9.
Set to premiere in October, Blumhouse Television and Hulu have agreed on a new deal involving a year-long horror anthology series. The new horror series does not have writers or a plot yet, but expect a new episode each month from the online platform soon!
AMC announced the premiere dates for its series McMafia, Fear the Walking Dead, Into the Badlands and more. McMafia, AMC’s newest thriller series, is set to air on Monday, February 26 at 10/9c, Season 4 of Fear will air on April 15th at 10/9c, and Into the Badlands will air the following Sunday, April 22nd at 10/9c.
The Walking Dead gets a new showrunner for Season 9! Current showrunner Scott M. Gimple will step down in his role and Angela Kang, a writer on TWD since 2011.

Interviews: Chandler Riggs, Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln talk about Carl’s demise in the mid-season premiere and more surprises on The Walking Dead.
Chandler Riggs of The Walking Dead spoke to EW on his last episode on the series – the mid-season premiere of Season 8 on February 25th. Chandler mentions in his interview that Rick will be affected most by his death, as “Carl’s just really going to be trying to teach Rick as much as he can” in what little time he has left.
Norman Reedus, in fact, had some words to say about Carl’s death on TWD – citing that he thought Carl would survive until the end.
Finally, Andrew Lincoln in an interview with EW said that the remainder of Season 8 of TWD will dive into uncharted territories. As fans know, Rick, Lincoln’s character in the series and Negan and the Saviors are currently in an all-out war. Lincoln talks about this war, Negan’s possible demise, and the surprises ahead in the remainder of the show
