
Things Aren’t Always Happy in the Yorkshire Valleys
Netflix is bringing the BBC’s successful British police drama, Happy Valley to its members, streaming exclusively in the US and Canada. Recognized as one of 2014’s top dramas, the series is brilliantly acted and masterfully crafted. Happy Valley stars BAFTA winner Sarah Lancashire as a strong-willed police sergeant living in the Yorkshire valleys named Catherine Cawood, Seemingly, just after putting her life back together following her beloved daughter’s suicide, she sees Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton), the man she deems responsible for her daughter’s death She becomes obsessed with him and watches his every move, but she has no idea he’s involved with a kidnapping. Things turn dark quickly as the kidnappers go to great lengths to keep their crime a secret, but little do they know Catherine is on to them.
