As FOX’s Gotham is full swing into their new season, the network released official images for the next episode which airs this coming Monday. The episode titled “The Last Laugh” makes it quite clear that it’s going to be heavy on Jerome (Cameron Monaghan), but is the title something to worry about?

For the longest time since season one, Jerome has been the #1 candidate that will possibly one day become Batman’s biggest nemesis, The Joker. These two past episodes have been heavy on the head in featuring Jerome displaying a lot of Joker characteristics. But based on these images where he is going after Bruce and Gordon being there to take him down as well as the title hinting at something ending, might this be it for Jerome? Fingers crossed that he makes it out alive.

Gotham airs on Monday nights, 8/7c on FOX.
