Lies, sex, murder, and stealing. Just a normal day in the life of Good Behavior, right?
The season 2 premiere of Good Behavior was off to one hot and steamy start. No time was wasted when it comes to our modern day, Bonnie and Clyde. Jetty fans everywhere were rejoicing as we saw the couple together again, deep in the moment of passionate love. This hot reunion was cut short by the entrance of Letty’s son, Jacob (Nyles Steele), who immediately brought everyone back to the reality that faced them. While Letty (Michelle Dockery) has a clean slate from all her past wrongdoings, Javier (Juan Diego Botto) is still a wanted man. A HOT wanted man, I must add. They are on the run, and things are getting quite complicated.

The episode took us through a whirlwind of emotions as we saw this new family dynamic trying to push towards a normal life. This became difficult, however, when we realized Javier and Letty have not changed a single bit. Yes, Javier is still out hit-manning while Letty helps herself to some “shopping” and some award-worthy story-telling/lying/improvising. Both attempted to keep their secrets from each other, but alas, that didn’t last very long. The episode introduced a few new characters that may or may not bode well for this family on the run. Only time will tell what their existence will mean for the Jetty family. The episode was not without its heartbreaking moments as we bid farewell to a beloved family member, only to reveal that something wicked this way comes.

1. Well then, that episode was off to a hot and heavy start. How did you feel seeing Jetty back together again? What are your predictions for their relationship as the season progresses?
Erin (@E_84): DAMN! I wouldn’t object to every episode opening like that. I absolutely love them together. Whether they are fighting or making up they are just so hot. I think there’s going to be a lot of ups and downs with them this season as they are both trying to change but they are definitely better together. I think they realize that as well, and as long as there’s communication between them I think they’ll be fine.
Kara (@GoodBehaviorFan): I absolutely love them together. Seeing them back to their “normal” ways right at the start of the episode was amazing. I think they will continue to have their ups and downs as the season progresses but I think at the end of the day they will always be better together than apart.
Lauren (@Lollie_Eliza): I think it was amazing to see Javier and Letty back together again. The episode starts out with the steamy (which I love) but trying to live a ‘normal life’ is not something the two have faced before. Especially not together. But as we all know, there is nothing normal about Jetty or their lives. Their lives which, while they may be together, are also very separate. I think their relationship will take some interesting blows and turns this season but I’m hoping this duo can handle it. They make quite the team.
Nikki (@EJamiHayLijahK2): My predictions for Letty this season, they will definitely have their ups and downs. If you ask me personally, this is what makes them stronger as a couple. They know each other’s faults and accept each other for who they are. They’re real. I see them surviving season 1. I’m definitely on Team Jetty!
Jessa (@JessFortunato): No doubt that opening was hot, and they are gonna have to get used to a kid cramping their style. I was worried for a sec that Javier had come to resent Jacob a bit but then he had his phone set for the first day of school. Awwww.

2. Jacob and Letty seem to be adjusting to one another throughout the episode. And it’s going to be quite the struggle, at least for now. What are your initial thoughts on their dynamic?
Erin: I feel for the both of them. Letty is trying to change, trying to learn how to be a parent and you can see it’s getting to her. Jacob is strong-willed but he’s also scared. I don’t blame the kid, I’d be scared too. They’re both in unknown territory right now and both are going to struggle, it’s perfectly normal. Sometimes I feel like Jacob is the parent and Letty is the kid. They just need to stick together.
Kara: Letty has tried so hard to be a good mom to Jacob, I mean she paid her mother a lot of money to just see her kid for a couple hours which not a lot of people would have done in her situation. Seeing them closer in this episode was so nice to see. I think Jacob makes Letty a better person and I hope that continues as the show progresses.
Lauren: Personally, I think Letty is trying so hard to give Jacob the life he deserves. The problem with this is she doesn’t know how to go about it without reverting to her old ways. The stealing. Hence, the disastrous clothes situation and book theft. It’s her go-to. It also seems more often than not that Jacob actually plays the role of the parent. He’s a very bright kid. They are both trying to figure this out. I absolutely love their banter! One thing is for sure, Letty will do whatever it takes to protect Jacob and I commend her for that.
Nikki: Thoughts on Javi and Jacob. I feel like they have always been striving towards this ever-growing dynamic. Javi tells it like it is and so does Jacob. In his own way, Javi is trying to be a father-like figure to Jacob because he really loves him and Letty.
Jessa: Listen these are possibly the only criminals on earth who are their best selves when they are totally honest with one another. That is obvious as the episode progresses. Letty is always bringing logic to Javier’s table. Using the thumb, checking the phone, etc. Javier brings the balance with others and with Jacob. If Letty and Javier could realize that they would be unstoppable.

3. Clearly, old habits die hard for Javier and Letty. Do you think they should have left all this behind them? Yay or nay? Why do you think they’re hiding it from each other? Why do you think they can’t let go?
Erin: Yay and nay I guess. They both want to leave that part of them behind but you can’t turn it off like a light switch. I think they’re both hiding it from each other because they don’t want to disappoint the other. Sometimes you want to change so badly but it’s just a part of who you are. It becomes second nature. Like Letty stealing all that stuff from the mall. She could have very easily paid for everything but stealing is second nature to her. I see the Javier situation a bit differently. Yes, he took a job but in his defense, he accepted it before and if he didn’t kill that hitman Javier would have ended up dead. Eventually, they’ll get over their old habits behind, it’s just going to take some time.
Kara: I don’t think you can completely just stop doing something especially if it is something that you have done all your life. But with that being said if they had left everything behind their life would be completely different and easier. I think they were hiding it from one another because they didn’t want to let the other person down because they went to this beach town to start a new life and if they had told each other what they were doing their life wouldn’t be all that different. I think the reason why they can’t let go is because this is a part of who they are and I’m not so sure they want to let it go at this point.
Lauren: I think that in a way they both want to leave it behind them but they can’t quite seem to do so. As I previously mentioned, these lifestyles come naturally to them. They are both survivors but in very different ways. You have Letty who steals but doesn’t kill. Javier who kills but doesn’t steal. Who’s right or wrong? I think they both internally struggle with their own issues while also struggling with each other.
Nikki: Old habits do die hard. “I always tell the truth. Even when I lie.” Tony Montana, Scarface.
These habits are going to be very hard to break for them. Between the two of them, it’s a tie. They’ve both been doing it a long time.
Jessa: I don’t think people really change. They said quite a few times in the episode “This is what you’re good at” They both want to try to be the best version of themselves for the other, but they are best together when they are doing what they’re good at and COMMUNICATING.

4. Hands down, Letty is the best liar anyone has ever seen. That dinner scene improv was everything, even Javier was taken aback. How do you feel about her ability to do this so effortlessly? And how do you think it affects Jacob? Do you foresee him picking up on all these bad habits?
Erin: That dinner scene was amazing! I could have listened to Letty going on and on about Gwyneth all night long. It’s second nature to her. Her ability to lie so flawlessly is a skill. If I were Jacob I’d think it was okay to lie like that. Your parent is supposed to be the authority and seeing them act like that you’d think, “Well if they’re doing it, I’m sure it’s okay if I do it”. A part of me thinks Jacob will pick up on these bad habits. How could he not? Although, Javier is with them now and I think his presence will be a positive one for Jacob.
Kara: Lying is definitely not a good trait to have at all and she shouldn’t do it but I think I would be lying if I didn’t say I am impressed with how quickly she can come up with a lie at any given time. We have only seen Jacob lie on a couple occasions which was back in season 1 so I think Jacob is already picking up on those habits but I hope as the season continues Letty will talk to him about these habits and explain to him that he should not do it.
Lauren: Letty is most certainly brilliant in that aspect. She doesn’t need to think. The words just flow and the next thing you know you have a story. I absolutely love that about Letty. It adds so much to her character. It shows what she has had to do to survive and basically why and how she has gotten this far. Is it a bit disconcerting? Absolutely. However, sometimes you do what you have to in able to survive.
Nikki: The fact that Letty and Javi can effortless lie on the fly to cover up who they really are will impact Jacob. He already was impacted when he was caught robbing the watch for his Mom in the department store… I have to say though, I was laughing so hard, Gwyneth Paltrow stealing all Javi recipes.” Proved what a fantastic liar she was and calling Javi a philanthropist.” (If only these people really knew what they really did for a living!)
Jessa: Jacob already has picked up some of these traits as we saw in season one when he was caught stealing. Letty could have drunk all that wine and still woven a tale because it’s what she’s been doing her whole life. Javier, while seeming a bit agitated is clearly impressed by her natural gifts. It helped that the neighbor was a total moron.

5. We were introduced to a few new characters in this episode, including Carin, Apple, and Eric. They had quite the introduction and seem pretty interesting (to say the least). What do you think about them? And what’s the deal with the husband, Eric? Rude much?! Do you see him becoming a potential problem as the season goes on?
Erin: I loved Carin with a C. I’m still on the fence about Apple. That girl is not afraid to say what’s on her mind and that could be a good thing and a bad thing. The one thing I’m sure we can all agree on is that there’s something funky going on with that family. Eric was totally rude and I definitely see him being a problem for Javier and Letty this season.
Kara: I think there are a lot of secrets in that family and the only person that seems somewhat normal is Carin and that’s not saying a lot. Eric seems a little crazy I mean who just comes in someone’s house like that? Just seeing how he acted and not even being on the screen for more than a minute, I could already tell this storyline would be much bigger than one little scene.
Lauren: Oh they were interesting alright. I wasn’t really a fan of the family in general. Carin was annoying. At first, I liked Apple until she couldn’t play a simple game with Jacob without literally interrogating him based on his race. Perhaps she was just curious or perhaps she wants to climb the social ladder at her school. To be determined. I wanted him to scream “Yes, Apple! I’m black! Can we play the game now?!” – Of course, Jacob is much too calm, smart, and patient to do so which is one of the reasons I love him so much. As far as Eric? There is definitely a story with that family. Especially something between him and Carin and I can’t wait to find out more.
Nikki: Carin – I think she is truly lonely and wants to make friends with someone. She has a terrible home-life with her husband Roger and her child, Apple.
Apple – asks WAY TOO MANY questions for my liking. She is going to keep digging and digging to get the dirt on Jacob. Guess who’ll she tell too? Daddy!
Roger – He is quite a doozy, huh? Carin should have divorced him a long time ago. He is the guy you keep walking past. You know what I mean ladies?
Jessa: Immediately upon seeing Eric my first thought was SHIT he’s at best a detective, at worst DEA or something. Carin…with a C…was too funny. Apple was more than a bit inappropriate I feel like her curiosity could be a problem.

6. R.I.P. Silk. We lost someone close to Javier tonight which pretty much confirms that someone is out to get him. What do you think happened? Is someone truly after Javier? Who do you think it could be? Share your theories!
Erin: Javier is in deep shit. I’m not quite sure who’s going after him, I don’t really have a theory yet but it has to be someone close to him right? Someone that knows how he operates. Javier needs to keep his guard up.
Kara: First of all can I just say how sad that scene was? I mean before Letty, Silk was the only person who truly knew who Javier was and now he is dead? I couldn’t imagine how Javier felt in that moment. I honestly have no idea what happened, I was completely shocked but I thought something was wrong when the front door was open though. The only people we know at the moment that know what Javier does is Agent Lashever, Javier’s family, and Letty. We know it’s not Letty or Agent Lashever since she says she has no idea where he is and I also don’t think she knows who Silk is so the only people we have left is Javier’s family. The only person out of that group that does not like Javier and knows about Silk is Javier’s father. If it is Javier’s father I would assume it would still go back to the day that Javier “killed” his brother and he is still mad.
Lauren: I truly wasn’t expecting that! It was so sad to see. I have a couple of theories.
1) His father is involved in some way.
2) Someone truly is after Javier. Perhaps a family member of someone he did a hit on?
3) Jacob’s father. We all know how well he handles his anger and he did make threats last season. “This isn’t over” I believe he said.
4) I have no friggin’ idea but I can’t wait to find out!
Nikki: R.I.P. Silk. What was even worse to me, was the total dismissal of his sister Ana. Who do I think did it? I say Javi’s murderous Papi or Jacob’s father. He made it clear in Season “The Ballad of Little Santino” 1×7 that Javier was dead to him. So let’s think about who’d want him dead? Either him or as I said Jacob’s paternal father. I cringe. Jacob deserves so much better. (cough) Javi.
Jessa: Poor Silk and Javier having to clean everything up was absolutely heartbreaking. And then having to tell the sister that Silk was dead you can tell he hated himself in that moment. Props to whoever did the music for that scene because it made it a hundred times better and more intense. I think it’s too soon to say exactly who is after him but I don’t think it’s the FBI.

7. Agent Lashever is NOT looking to give up anytime soon. It looks like she may be a potential problem for Javier and Letty as they try to find some normalcy in their crazy life. What are your thoughts on her? Do you think she’ll succeed? I mean, why can’t she just be with Christian and let Jetty live their lives in peace?! Amirite?
Erin: Agent Lashever or as I like to call her Agent sandwich lover is going to be a huge problem for Jetty. She was humiliated and is not going to let up. Letty and Javier need to be a few steps ahead of her. She can’t succeed, she can’t! She just needs to find another case and Christian needs to keep her busy (by any means necessary). Unfortunately, I really don’t think she’s going to let up and after her visit to Estelle, I think she’s even more determined. While I hate that Agent Lashever is on the hunt for Javier, Ann Dowd is amazing.
Kara: I don’t like Agent Lashever but Ann Dowd is an amazing actress. I think there is something that we don’t know yet about her private life and that’s the reason why she wants to find Javier and turn him in. I think if she has her way and finding Javier is the last thing she does then she will do it no matter what.
Lauren: I have a feeling she is definitely not the type to give up, unfortunately. There’s also a distinct possibility that she is using Christian. Feeding him info Intentionally. If that’s the case he’s taking the bait like a pro. Hook, line, and, well….you know the rest. We’ll find out!
Nikki: No, Agent Lashever is like a dog without her bone. You’d think finally getting a man, Christian (our favorite parolee officer) would have done the trick? No, she still is investigating, why? What is her motive? Who is she really working for? I think there is more to that story. TBC.
Jessa: I actually really hate the agent storyline. It’s a little amusing with Christian sometimes but her trying to get information out of Estelle was a bit annoying. Can we just get a shout-out for Robbie who is completely clueless and will make anyone a sandwich when they show up at his front door?!

Final Verdict: The season 2 premiere of Good Behavior promises to deliver a thrilling season full of Jetty moments like never before. And we are ready.
Good Behavior did not disappoint fans in the slightest bit as it kicked off its second season. It was everything we wanted, waited, and pined for as fans. The stakes are high as Javier and Letty face a new sort of drama while they trek on for some normalcy. Unable to leave their habits behind them, this will prove to be interesting as the story progresses this season. Will they ever stop? How will Jacob fare during this tumultuous time? And what is the deal with the new neighbors? Not to mention, things are sure to get complicated with Agent Lashever and a mystery person out for Javier’s blood. The drama just won’t stop but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Season 2 kicked off running and we are there every step of the way.
