Saturday Afternoon at EYECON with These Handsome Fellas

The annual EyeCon Vampire Diaries and The Originals fan convention is held each Fall in Atlanta, Georgia. Cast members from both supernatural series appear to sign autographs, take photos, attend Q&A panels and have private meet and greets with fans. Cast appearing this year include, Matt Davis (Alaric), Zach Roerig (Matt), Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy), Michael Trevino (Tyler), Michael Malarkey (Enzo), Chase R. Coleman (Oliver), Chris Wood (Kai), Kendrick Sampson (Jesse), Paul Telfer (Alexander) and director, Josh Butler. Saturday afternoon Matt, Zach, Steven and Michael all had a panel together. Below is a summary of their panel and a few photos shared by fans.

• Steven says they are filming a Christmas TVD episode this week.
• Matt says he jumped at the opportunity to come back to TVD…. He is happy to back with his family
• Matt says he’d marry Trevino, trust Zach with his life, and kill Steven!
• A fan asks, “What would your last meal be?” Steven says French toast, but he can’t eat that now because he has a shirtless scene coming up.
• Zach hated Trevino doesn’t always eat at the table…he doesn’t want his daughter,  Fiona to pick up bad habits..
• Matt reveals Damon and Alaric’s relationship is going to be complicated in the next few episodes.
• After TVD ends Zach would do a lot more conventions. Steven would be a ninja turtle, Matt said he is a ninja turtle. Lol!
• Zach says that his character is the most unique because he is still human.
• Zach and Trevino are dressed the same today, buy say it wasn’t planed.
• Steven’s favorite scene to film was him puking because he could be silly. Trevino’s is an upcoming scene with Liv.
• Matt says Damon & Alaric bonded over bourbon and broken hearts.
• Steven reveals he would love to be on The Flash or Arrrow.
• Trevino says they usually find out in January on who will return the following season.
• Steven says Jeremy would represent society as a whole but kids out of control and etc because of a hard life.
• Trevino says Tyler represents getting dealt things they don’t want (ex werewolf gene for him and addiction that runs in the family)
• Zach says his character represents America. Haha.
• Steven says he has some fun stuff coming up… Probably his favorite season so far.
• Trevino is glad he’s not sired to Klaus anymore, He was over that.
• Trevino says season 6 is a new beginning for Tyler.
• Steven plays video games, walks Max…he kept going. The others say he needs to play the quiet game because he can’t shut up!
• If they were a women for 24hrs..Zach says he would call his girlfriends, nothing appropriate he can say!
• Matt loves that Alaric is an occult studies professor, He is very happy with where they are taking the character this season. He says we will see Alaric go on a new journey this season, but.can’t spoil anything for now.
• A fan asks Matt if people recognize him more as Warner from Legally Blonde, or Alaric? He says some of both, but mostly Alaric. Also Ernesto Riley.
• Zach is glad Matt isn’t as submissive anymore and actually able to take action and do stuff for the town.
• Steven says he ran into a wall in the one scene he was being chased by Damon. He’s also hit the camera by “jumping towards the camera.”
• Steven explains he gets in trouble during more serious scenes because he talks too loud.
• Zach says he’s only kissed 2 girls, then Steven said “but you’ve had a threesome!!!! None of us has had one.”
• Trevino and Zach keep taking jabs at Steven for talking too much.
• Matt says he would love to be a race car driver.
• Zach says he is just like Clark Kent… No one recognizes him with his glasses.
• Zach shares that a fan just sent Ian Somerhalder 7 bars of fudge. Lol
• Steven would live in Atlanta or the Bahamas if he could choose anywhere..
• Trevino says he would love to live in Neverland. Haha!
• Matt says Italy! Steven asks “Where?” Matt says “Italy…it’s a place in Europe.”
