With just a month’s wait until the season premiere of The Vampire Diaries sixth season, details are slowing beginning to leak out about the highly anticipated new season. Our friends at TV Line got the scoop on the upcoming season of the hit supernatural series and a look at the first promotional episode still for the season six premiere, featured above. We see Alaric (Matt Davis) and Caroline (Candice Accola) sitting at a table together. They appear to be engaged in a rather intense conversation, judging by their body language. Perhaps discussing Elena’s state of mind??

The show’s executive producer, Caroline Dries, also shared a few juicy details about the show’s return, Below is a preview of what she had to say.
Elena is still “grieving” Damon, but also “excelling in her pre-med program,” executive producer Caroline Dries tells TVLine. Elena’s new endeavor will also prove fruitful for Alaric, who will shack up with her mentor Jo.
” And even when he is ready, he’s{Stefan} still “a typical guy who just sees Caroline as a friend.”
Bonnie and Damon’s whereabouts will unfold “slowly” as they continue to “get on each other’s nerves like an old married couple.”
