In just a couple of days, the fastest man alive is finally coming back to our TV screens with season 2 of The Flash.The network has released images for the second episode titled “Flash of Two Worlds,” which airs October 13th.
This episode is where we will finally be meeting The Flash of Earth 2, Mr. Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) as well as Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten), another big character from the mythology. It appears that the iconic tribute poster to #123 of The Flash where these two meet for the first time, that CW released a while ago, is going to be featured here as well, which excites me on every level. As we have been seeing more footage in the latest trailers and now with these images, I’m really digging Jay’s costume from top to bottom.
The only thing I hope we get a clear answer to is how does that helmet stay on which I wouldn’t mind if it becomes a prop that can be purchased like Reverse-Flash’s rings and CCPD badges. A nerd can dream right? We also see Jay confronting a man named Eddie Slick (Kett Turton) who is a minor DC Comics character in the Firestorm mythology where he’s known as Sand Demon. While it hasn’t been confirmed if this is the same character from the comics, it wouldn’t be a surprise if it’s him since Firestorm is going to have a large role before moving to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Just a couple days left now, The Flash fans!
The Flash begins its second season on Tuesday October 6, 8/7c on The CW.

“INTRODUCING JAY GARRICK — Jay Garrick (guest star Teddy Sears), a mysterious man from Earth-2, appears at S.T.A.R. Labs with a dire warning about an evil speedster named Zoom, who is set on destroying The Flash. Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team must decide if they can trust this stranger even as they face yet another powerful meta-human. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) must deal with a determined officer named Patty Spivot (guest star Shantel VanSanten) who wants to join his meta-human task force.
