As Jason begins speaking to hallucinations, Cutter is finally caught!
SEAL Team 1×22 “The Cost of Doing Business” on CBS was quite the season finale. Not only did Jason (David Boreanaz) seem to be having an even more difficult time with his concussion after he begins speaking with people who seem to actually be hallucinations brought on by the injury. But he and Mandy (Jessica Pare) were able to catch Cutter and begin down the track of getting him the punishment he deserves for the part he played in the assassination of the members of Echo Team.

Jason wasn’t the only one struggling with an injury as he finally called out Ray (Neil Brown Jr.) for hiding his shoulder problem for so long. The tension between Lisa (Toni Trucks) and Danny (Steve Howey) is brewing, along with the relationship issues that are clearly coming at the relationship between Clay (Max Thieriot) and Stella (Alona Tal) at the return of the SEALs from their mission. We’ll just have to wait for season two to see what will happen with our favorite team and their relationships!

1. Are you glad Jason was talked out of killing Cutter?
Bryna (@Becoming_Bryna): Yes! So glad he did not kill him.
Manuela (@yellowhat3): Yes! I am really grateful that Mandy was there with Jason to be a voice of reason while his vengeance was bubbling to the surface! Mandy is right!
Micha (@ciaomichaella): Definitely! It’s totally illegal and even if he got away with it, I’m sure there would be consequences he would have to deal with afterward.
Andrea (@Andrea_Colanni): I would love to be able to say yes, but I can’t. I just feel like if Cutter is still alive, then we aren’t done dealing with him.
Marilyn (@Marilyn72568293): Yes, but only because it was the best thing for Jason and his mental well being.

2. What will happen with Lisa’s relationship after Danny’s situation?
Bryna: Oh snap! Be there as much as you can, girl. Not sure how the relationship will go because speaking from personal experience, it’s all up to the person who is addicted. They can reject your support.
Manuela: I really hope Lisa’s strong will can help her make the right call for her. Seriously though, the stars are aligning with Davis and Sonny in my opinion.
Micha: I don’t know, but it does explain why Danny was MIA while she was deployed. It will be interesting to see them talk things out and have a serious, adult conversation about their relationship.
Andrea: Well, I hope they break up. Lisa belongs with Sonny, and I refuse to believe anything else.
Marilyn: I’m sorry but Danny is just not good enough for Lisa. She needs to drop him.

3. Clay and Stella seem to be fine in their relationship but do you think it will last? Or is more trouble coming?
Bryna: Nah, It can’t last. There is no support there. Clay needs to have a clear mind and now he has someone who has his back.
Manuela: It looked more like Stella was stunned and uncomfortable when she saw Clay that she felt she needed to be over the top with him. I don’t know what to think about her still. When Clay gets deployed again, I’m sure the truth will show itself quickly this time, if not before.
Micha: They fell in love rather quickly and next thing you know Clay was proposing. The deployment was challenging and complicated by Gordon. But maybe their relationship is strong enough to keep going. Their reunion was so cute. I can continue shipping it.
Andrea: Oh, more trouble is definitely headed their way. I just don’t see their relationship lasting.
Marilyn: There is something more going on under the surface between them and I think more trouble is definitely coming.

4. Jason berates Ray about his shoulder. Did Jason have any room to speak about Ray hiding his injury?
Bryna: Well, to a certain extent, Ray did put the team in jeopardy. But so has Jason. Jason needs to own up to his injury, and fast.
Manuela: This scene made my skin crawl and the dialogue stung quite a bit. They both have major issues and blood on their hands. Jason pulls the honesty card on Ray, but I think he has some truths he hasn’t told yet either.
Micha: On a personal level, Jason’s guilty of hiding a similar situation that can compromise his team. However, on a professional level, Jason is the team leader so he kind of had the right to get on Ray’s case for lying about his shoulder, and issuing the appropriate punishments and demands.
Andrea: Honestly? No, he didn’t. That whole conversation was difficult to watch.
Marilyn: Yikes. This was rough. I hate when these two don’t get along. Especially because Jason really didn’t have room to talk to Ray.

5. What is going to come next for Jason now that he’s seeing people who aren’t really there?
Bryna: Jason needs to seek medical attention ASAP or he will be in a world of hurt both physically and psychologically
Manuela: Like he told Ray to get the surgery on his shoulder, he needs to take his own advice and admit he has a problem. Hopefully, this will help unlock reality versus imagined because I’m not even sure what’s real.
Micha: He needs to go back to therapy! And also see a neurologist. The concussion may be more severe than first thought, and he has a lot of guilt and complex emotions to deal with. Not just because of what happened while on deployment, but also because of his divorce.
Andrea: I’m really worried that this concussion is going to lead to something really serious. I’m worried!
Marilyn: Yeah, not good. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Jason doesn’t have to have brain surgery!

6. Cutter has been arrested, but is this the last time we are going to see him?
Bryna: I think Cutter will pop up again.
Manuela: Not until he testifies in court and admits his guilt. Echo team needs the truth to come out and may they rest in peace.
Micha: Probably not. Especially if he’s friends with people in really high places with huge pockets who can help him weasel his way out of trouble.
Andrea: Definitely not. Unless he is dead, Cutter will never be gone.
Marilyn: I hate to say it, but if Cutter isn’t dead, he is going to come back around.

7. What did you think of the first season of this show overall? Are you excited for the second season?
Bryna: Loved it! Really love seeing the inner workings of a SEAL Team. Makes me totally appreciate the military on a whole different level! I love Sonny’s one-liners, Clay’s leadership skills, Ray’s heart, Jason’s fire. I love them all. Can’t wait for next season! I need it now!
Manuela: This show has blown the top off all the boundaries. This is a show for the people. Truly committed to truth and connected to the audience. I’m so excited for season two because I feel we know just enough about the characters to want to know a lot more.
Micha: I loved it! Looking forward to the next season.
Andrea: I was a little unsure in the beginning, but now I just couldn’t imagine not having this show to watch. I’m so excited to see where the characters are going!
Marilyn: I have loved this show since the first moment and I can’t wait to see what stories we get next season!

Final Verdict: We’re just keeping our fingers crossed that Echo Team gets some justice in the finale!
The conflict between the characters was great. What happened between Jason and Ray was something that has been boiling for the last two weeks. While it was a hard scene to watch for most of us, it will only prove to make their relationship stronger. Especially since they are both going through the same type of difficulty at the moment. It was also great to finally get the truth about Cutter and what happened to Echo Team. The conclusion wasn’t lacking in action and suspense and the buildup for the back half of the season was all worth it.

While we loved the conclusion of the season, we didn’t like what seems to be happening with the romantic side of the relationships. We think Danny and Lisa just need to call it quits. Any relationship with a SEAL is going to be difficult, more so when both parties are in the SEALs. But with Danny’s other issues, we’re just worried it’s bringing Lisa down. Then there is Clay and Stella. This relationship has been rocky and suspicious from day one and it hasn’t gotten any better as the season has gone on. Things have been downright strange and we are ready to see the end of it.
The season finale gave us a conclusion we’ve been asking for! While there were still a few things we would have liked to see happen, there is always next season. There were a few answers given in this finale, but there are still a lot more questions, including a few new ones. Including where Danny and Lisa will end up. The status of Clay and Stella. Then there is the future between Jason and Alonna and where they will end up. Of course, that’s after we discover the status of Jason’s head injury.
