To Cheer Up April The Carvers Celebrate Christmas Early

ABC Family released the official synopsis and promotional photos for the special holiday episode of Chasing Life 1×11 titled, “Locks of Love.” The episode was written by executive producers Susanna Fogel and Joni Lefkowitz and directed by Lee Rose. In this episode, April (Italia Ricci) gets a few surprises from her family to lift her spirits and also learns the meaning of Leo’s (Scott Michael Foster) voicemail. The photo featured above, a promotional shot from the episode, shows April and her sister, Brenna (Haley Ramm) dressed for the holidays and appear to be handing out gifts in the hospital hallways. Official Synopsis:

April’s grandparents come to visit, and April gets a chemo makeover in an all-new special holiday episode of “Chasing Life,” airing during ABC Family’s “25 Days of Christmas.”

In the episode titled “Locks of Love,” April’s grandparents (guest stars Ed Asner and Marion Ross) stir up trouble when they pay a visit, and the Carvers celebrate an early family Christmas. The full contents of Leo’s cryptic voicemail are revealed, leading April and Leo to rethink their last goodbye. In an attempt to help her friend cope with the effects of chemo, Beth helps April with a makeover, or two.
