13 Reasons Why Returns with Some New Faces
One of Netflix’s most talked about series, 13 Reasons Why, an adoption of the best-selling book by Jay Asher, focuses on tough issues like teen suicide, bullying, drunk driving and rape in graphic detail. Deadline reports the series adds four cast members for its highly anticipated second season. Jake Weber, Brenda Strong, Meredith Monroe and R.J. Brown have been tapped for recurring roles in the upcoming new season.

Weber will play Barry Walker, father of Bryce (Justin Prentice), a successful hedge fund manager and pillar of the community. Strong will play Nora Walker, Barry’s husband and Bryce’s mother. Monroe will play Carolyn, Alex’s mother, a hardworking nurse and devoted mother. Brown, is Caleb, Tony’s boxing trainer, a fierce competitor and dedicated coach, but out of the ring he has a warm smile and a wry sense of humor.
