Van Helsing Promises “Vampires, Vampires & More Vampires. Resurrection is a Bitch, Kids.”
Syfy released the series synopsis and promotional photos for the series premiere of Van Helsing 1×01, titled, “Help Me,” airing on Friday, September 23rd. Here’s the official series description, some sneak-peak pics, the official trailer, and a teaser clip below.
Official synopsis:
VAN HELSING reimagines the timeless Dracula brand with the resurrection of Vanessa Van Helsing, a descendent of the Van Helsing lineage of warriors who now must lead mankind against a world controlled by vampires in the post-Rising landscape. After a catastrophic event, the last remaining underground vampires overtake America and Vanessa Van Helsing is resurrected as the final hope to save the world.
“Van Helsing” premieres Friday, September 23 at 10/9c on Syfy.
The series stars Kelly Overton (“True Blood”) as Vanessa Van Helsing, Jonathan Scarfe (“Hell on Wheels”) as Axel, Christopher Heyerdahl (“Sanctuary,” “True Blood”) as Sam, Paul Johansson (“One Tree Hill”) as Dimitri, David Cubbit “(“Medium”) as John, Vincent Gale (“Bates Motel”) as Flesh and Tim Guinee (“Homeland”) as Ted.
Produced by the studio Nomadic Pictures (“Fargo,” “Hell On Wheels”), executive producers are Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev from Nomadic Pictures, showrunner/writer Neil LaBute, Simon Barry (“Continuum”), Daniel March (Dynamic Television), Evan Tyler (Industry Works) as well as Dave Brown and Zadoc Angell (Echo Lake Entertainment). Nomadic Pictures will distribute the series within Canada and Fallout Asylum and Dynamic Television will distribute the series (initial window) in the United States. Dynamic Television is also on board as international distributor.
