The Mr. Robot cast chats character and what’s coming up on Season 2 of Mr. Robot at SDCC
We sat down at roundtable interviews with the cast of Mr. Robot , including Rami Malek, Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday and Grace Gummer, to get all the season 2 scoop on one of our favorite shows. Only two weeks into the new season and things are really getting intense, so we were really excited to pick the stars brain’s about what’s coming next and just general dish on the show. Trouble for fsociety
Grace Gummer plays Dominique DiPierro, a new addition to the cast this year, and she’s already causing trouble for fsociety. She’s got a feeling about who perpetrated last season’s 5/9 hacks, and she’ll stop at nothing to get what she wants- the truth. But at what cost?

Angela’s inner pain
In the season premiere, we saw Angela (Portia Doubleday) repeating some affirmations. What was that about? “What pain is she trying to suppress [through the affirmations]? Because that comes up throughout the season. You start to find out what she’s repressing.” We know what you want to know, though. What’s coming up in season 2? “There are five things this season that are totally unpredictable.”

Rami Malek is sort of a spoiler steel trap (come on, Rami, through us a bone!), but if you’re one of the people who discuss the show endlessly on Reddit, then great news! Rami’s definitely reading it.

Someone loves spoilers as much as we do
As far as spoilers go, as much as we love them, Christian Slater loves them more. “If I have a question, [Sam Esmail] says ‘Do you really want to know?’ He always gives me that out, and I say yes, and he’s always told me…I always say yes. I’m terrible at that. I need to know.” Ok, so give us the spoilers, Christian, we want to know what happened the night of the hack that Elliot can’t remember! Does Mr. Robot know?? “Of course, I know, cause I did it. He’ll know when I want him to know.”
