The ordinary team of Wayne Security seeks to protect us from Superheroes and Supervillains in Powerless
NBC has released the official synopsis, promotional stills and video for the Powerless series premiere - “Wayne or Lose”. Starring High School Musical and Sucker Punch alum Vanessa Hudgens as Emily Locke, the spunky go-getter who lands a job at Wayne Security. Run by Batman’s cousin, Van Wayne (the multi-talented Alan Tudyk), she finds herself the newest member of the R&D team. Joined by enthusiastic but hapless co-workers Ron (Ron Funches), Teddy (Danny Pudi), and Jackie (Christina Kirk), they must become heroes in their own right by protecting the citizens of Charm City from bystander harm.

Official Synopsis:
In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss and officemates, so it will be put o her to lead the team towards their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.
Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, Len Goldstein, Marc Buckland and Dean Lorey are the executive producers of Powerless, with Buckland also serving as the director of the pilot. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and is based on the characters from the DC Comic Universe.
