The Flash 3×01: Flashpoint - Who’s the villain now, Flash?
It’s Flashpoint! Right here in the third season of The Flash. Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher) is back! And Barry has hauled off and changed time again. Flashpoint was an event from the comics, where Barry shattered the time stream in order to save his mother from Reverse Flash. In so doing, he created an entirely new reality, and only he remembered the original one. Then those memories began to fade, and he had to right things before he forgot his life entirely. Something similar will be happening when The Flash returns from its summer hiatus. Barry has gone back in time to save his mother Nora Allen (Michelle Harrison), but he ends up with more than he thought. He has altered the timeline and given himself the life he always wanted. We know that initially he’s happy, but things don’t stay that way. The question is, will Barry fall in love with his changed life? Or remain loyal to his old one?
