The Vampire Diaries 6×16: Where’s Caroline?
In the video clip below, executive producers, Julie Plec and Caroline Dries preview The Vampire Diaries 6×16 titled, “The Downward Spiral” and we see a few sneak peeks at the episode. Dries reveals the episode is named after a Nine Inch Nails song and Plec says the title is in honor of Ian Somerhalder’s directorial debut and both agree the episode is perfect fit for him to do so. Plec shares that the episode is centered around a rave and reveals had a lot of input about the set. Dries confesses he especially enjoyed casting the girls dancing in cages and both agree he has probably been to a rave or two himself. .Plec explains that Stefan (Paul Wesley) is feeling extremely guilty about Caroline (Candice Accola) turning off her humanity.
