Stephen Amell Cast as ‘Casey Jones’ in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2

Stephen Amell Trades His Hood for a Hockey Mask (for a while)

The man under the green hooded in Arrow, Stephen Amell, has been cast in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel as masked vigilante, Casey Jones. Variety reports Amell was chosen out of a dozen other actors, but had the best chemistry with Megan Fox, who is set to return as April O’Neil. Also returning for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is director, David Green and Will Arnett, but no plot details or other cast members returning have not been revealed yet. The next chapter of TMNT is set to be released in 2016.

A loner who becomes an ally of the turtles and a love interest for O’Neil, Jones is a fan favorite of the series going back to when Elias Koteas played him in the 1990 New Line pic.

Michael Bay is producing along with his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec are penning the script.

Amell took to Twitter on Tuesday sharing a photo of Jones and further confirming the casting. Check out his response below.
