The season six premiere of The Vampire Diaries is TOMORROW! Yes, we are just as excited as you to be reunited with all our favorite supernaturals and a human or two from Mystic Falls. We’ve gathered all the latest spoilers for the upcoming season for you, Take a peek at them below.

Confession: I was the biggest Eureka fan, so I am so excited to see Colin Ferguson on TVD! What can we expect?
Just some male bonding between him and Matt Donovan! “He came about because we wanted to show Matt thriving in Mystic Falls without supernaturals,” EP Caroline Dries previewed of Ferguson’s character, Tripp. “We wanted to give him a father figure, coach-type of guy, so that’s where Tripp come out of.” Of course, this is The Vampire Diaries, so Tripp will have his secrets, but he’ll “ultimately become an interesting, layered, dynamic character that’s not necessarily good guy or bad guy.”

The Hollywood Reporter spoke to executive producer, Caroline Dries, about the new season. Below is some of what she had to say.

“When we started this season, [there was a fear that] it’s going to be such a downer, we’re ending it in such a sad spot. How can we reinvigorate the show and keep it feeling fresh and alive and not so heavy to start with?” - executive producer Caroline Dries.

“Where did they [Bonnie and Damon] go? That mystery is addressed in the first episode in an unexpected way, though the aftermath of their disappearance is felt throughout.”

“One of the problems he’s [Alaric] going to be facing is how to go on a normal date and be a normal guy again,” Dries said, adding that Alaric will have a lot of “emotional baggage” and “internalizes” . That’s where Elena’s new doctor mentor, Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe), comes into play. “She’s going to bring that side out of him,” Dries hinted.

Have no fear, Enzo is still here. Though the fan favorite doesn’t make an appearance in the premiere, he has a larger presence in the second episode… “He is up to something that is on point with what’s going on with the Damon and Stefan story,” Dries hinted.

Does Tyler have his eye on someone new? The short answer: Yes, and her name is Liv (Penelope Mitchell)…

Who is Stefan’s new lady? “Ivy’s a potential love interest and she opens the door into this world of Stefan’s that we’ve never seen before,” Dries said. “We start to understand his process as a vampire … of starting over and living a different identity, because we’ve only seen him as Stefan Salvatore, high school student-turned-Elena’s boyfriend.”

Caroline is on a mission to strip Mystic Falls of the supernatural-free zone the town is currently under, thanks to the Travelers. “She’s going to keep trying. It’s more of a symbolic thing for her and less of a plot drive,” Dries said.

With Damon and Elena on separate paths at the start of the season, Dries reassured that their love story will be felt throughout even without Damon’s immediate presence among the living. “We definitely keep the love stories alive. We might not play it out in a traditional way but they will feel very satisfying,” Dries said.

Dries revealed that in the first 10 episodes of the season, the D-word (that’s doppelganger) hasn’t been used once.

Vampire Diaries will be traveling back in time for more flashbacks this season, including one with Stefan and Damon in episode four that is set in an “era we haven’t seen before” that will “help tie together a bunch of story lines,” Dries teased.

Elena and her friends will have their hands full starting in the third episode when Kai (Chris Wood) comes into town to wreak havoc. “He is a crazy person and he’s super fun to write,” Dries revealed, using words like “charismatic,” “charming,” “psychotic,” and “likable and unlikable in the right ways.”

Newly cast as a season six regular, Michael Malarkey (Enzo) spoke with Alloy Entertainment about the upcoming new season of TVD.

Enzo lays the charm on thick whenever Caroline is around. Is he really smitten with her or does he just enjoy her over-the-top reactions to his compliments?
Michael Malarkey: It’s a bit of both I think. I wouldn’t go as far as to say he’s “smitten” but I think he digs her. I mean, he’s an old British vampire who’s been imprisoned for a long time — so a girl like Caroline seems like an alien almost…

….how is Enzo dealing with the grief? Will he recruit a new murder buddy or will the loss of his friend hit him hard?
Michael Malarkey: Well, Enzo is not that fickle that he’ll forget about Damon and move on. Damon is his best bud and the only friend he’s had for seven years — or however many years it’s been, I can’t do math — but he’s not just going to let him die without figuring out what happened first. He wants his buddy back.

…friendship between Enzo and Alaric Saltzman. With Damon no longer being on this plane of existence, will the two of them bond while mourning their best pal?
Michael Malarkey: Well, Enzo doesn’t know who the hell Alaric is. That’s a major hurdle, but we’ll see how they’ll interact — or even if they do at all…

And last but not least, what’s your biggest wish for Enzo in TVD Season 6?
Michael Malarkey: I want an intense Enzo flashback that’s set in London during the 1800s — specifically during the time of Jack the Ripper — so that we can get some cool costumes and Old English. That would be amazing.

Ausiello: Never give up hope, Allison! Elena’s emotions are all over the place in Season 6 and I have it on good authority that her love life is going to be far from dormant. In fact, I hear she’ll be locking lips with a handsome fella in Episode 3 — and his name does not rhyme with Shmamon.

The week Julie Plec revealed Nina Dobrev would be crossing over to The Originals this season. The CW also released video interviews with the cast of season six that included a few sneak peeks at the new season.
