Just like most of us, the cast of The Vampire Diaries spend the holidays with family, friends and enjoying all the great traditions of the holiday season. On break from filming since the middle of December, many cast members chose to hit the slopes to truly make it a white Christmas, while others headed to wherever home may be and some opted for some warmer weather. Take a look below to see how your favorite TVD stars spent the holidays.
Nina Dobrev:
The brunette beauty enjoyed Christmas on the slopes with her parents and brother, where they rented a cabin and spent some quality family time together. Nina then jetted to New Zealand to ring in the New Year with friends and some fun in the sun.
Ian Somerhalder:
The smoldering TVD actor and girlfriend, Nikki Reed, headed to Sun Valley, Idaho to spend Christmas in a winter wonderland. Both of the pair’s family joined in on the fun and enjoyed the holiday together. Ian and Nikki then returned to LA, where they were spotted at a Lakers game, heading to yoga and jogging. The couple rang in the New Year with friends at the Chanel Club in Venice, CA.
Paul Wesley:
After returning from an appearance in Brazil, Paul spent time with his family in New Jersey for Christmas. He enjoyed the company of his parents, sisters and nephews while his girlfriend, Phoebe Tonkin, went home to Australia for the holidays, but the pair did share some time together in Mexico before Paul traveled to Poland to visit his grandparents as he mentioned at TVD Orlando.
Candice Accola:
The newly married TVD star and husband, Joe King, first spent time on the slopes of Vail Ski Resort in Colorado before spending a quiet Christmas and New Years as a family in Denver.
Kat Graham:
While, the beautiful TVD actress opted not to share how she spent her Christmas, she most definitely spent time with her family. However, Kat spent New Year’s Eve in Times Square and was a featured guest of Cosmopolitan and CoverGirl for their #ColorfulCountdown.
Steven R. McQueen:
The handsome TVD hunk flew back to the West Coast to spend Christmas with his mom, step-dad, brothers and sister. They all enjoyed their time together and then Steven headed to Las Vegas to ring in the New Year.
Michael Trevino:
Like several fellow cast members, Michael also chose to spend some of his time off for the holidays hitting the slopes. He headed home to the West Coast and ventured to Bear Mountain Ski Resort in California to enjoy the fresh powder.
Michael Malarkey:
The lovable and handsome actor returned to his home across the pond and spent the holidays with his wife and son in England.
Chris Wood:
New to TVD this season, Chris headed home to Ohio to spent his time off with family and friends. Chris spent time with the boys bowling and sharing some beers.
