The Cast Dishes on The Originals 2×07 “Chasing the Devil’s Tail”
The seventh episode of The Originals season two airs tonight and viewers us included are dying to know how Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will be affected if he’s even affected at all by his mother’s truth. Or is Klaus (Joseph Morgan) really turn away from his biological Dad now that he too has returned to life? And let’s not forget about Mikael (Sebastian Roche‘) and Davina’s (Danielle Campbell) plans for Klaus or Finn’s (Yusuf Gatewood) for Cami (Leah Pipes). With such an exciting episode on the horizon, cast members Joseph Morgan and Leah Pipes. We’ve gathered the latest interviews and previewed what they had to say. Take a look!

Leah spoke to Access Hollywood about Cami’s feelings for Klaus, her plans for Vincent and more.
“Marcel takes one look at her and he’s like, ‘That’s my queen,’ and Klaus looks at her and he’s like, ‘There’s something about this girl,’ and Vincent’s like, ‘Uh! I just love her.’ I’m like, ‘Really guys?’ ’cause like I’m not Rosie Huntington-Whiteley over here. Let’s be honest,” Leah laughed. “But, I think what it is, is there’s something about her as a person. I mean, obviously, it’s not the fact that I look amazing in a bikini ’cause I don’t. She is a sensitive and open person emotionally, but also really strong and I think they find that intriguing.”
If Vincent hadn’t actually been Finn Mikaelson, does Leah think Cami would have been interested in him?
“I don’t know. I think she kind of definitely put up the student/teacher boundary,” Leah said. “That would have been complicated…
“She carries a lot of guilt with her and she has a very big conscience and she wants to always challenge herself to be the best she can be and this is her family’s legacy and she turned her back on it and it resulted in devastation. And I think more so than just this one instance, it’s an example of what could happen if she were to turn her back on this,” Leah said. “It’s like… ‘This baby died.’ I mean, the worst case scenario happened, in her mind, ‘And what other worse case scenarios could happen if I don’t take up this duty and fight for justice in the quarter the way that my family has done for who knows how long?'”
“She feels for Klaus because there’s so much stacked up against him and so she sees where it all comes from. It’s not like he’s an evil guy, he’s actually a good guy, he’s just fighting so many demons caused by his mother and his father and his siblings and a thousand years of just of bad family vibes. That should be the tagline, ‘The Originals: A thousand years of bad family vibes,'” Leah laughed.

TVF: What can we expect from Cami on Monday night’s episode as she and Josh team up against Vincent?
LP: Cami isn’t happy, at all. She’s pretty mad actually. She’s going to be getting some revenge on Monday night.
TVF: Do you think Cami’s taking too many risks this season?
LP: I don’t know. I think she’s at the point where she knows she’s in this battle and she has to take these risks. She’s out to prove she’s not a damsel in distress and she can take care of herself.
TVF: We have to ask: Klaus or Marcel?
LP: Neither!! They’re both monsters! Doesn’t Cami need to find a nice, normal human to date?
TVF: If you could be a werewolf, vampire, or witch, which would you choose and why?
LP: I’ve been asked this question before, and I have to go with witch. You have all the power, but you’re still human. Cami can still have babies and not have to kill anybody.
TVF: Where do you want Cami’s story go as the season progresses?
LP: I don’t know, really. I’d kind of like to see Cami have a story independent of the supernatural elements. She’s basically the only human in New Orleans, you know?
