Stephanie Bennett is Set to Hunt Demons
UnREAL and Disney Channel’s Descendants actress, Stephanie Bennett, has booked a guest role on ABC Family’s highly anticipated new drama, Shadowhunters. According to The Wrap, Bennett has been cast as Lydia Branwell on the upcoming series based ‘The Mortal Instruments’ young adult novel series by Cassandra Clare.
Lydia is described as a beautiful, no-nonsense young Shadowhunter who is an abrasive “badass.” She has known terrible loss in her life, and she has become driven and harsh as a result — but under her hard shell lies considerable vulnerability.
“Shadowhunters,” the straight-to-series adaptation of the “Mortal Instruments” series of YA novels by Cassandra Clare, will follow 18-year-old Clary, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is, but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters — human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting.
