Morena Baccarin Heads to Gotham City
Homeland actress, Morena Baccarin, has booked a recurring role on Fox’s Batman origin story, Gotham. TV Line reports Morena has landed the iconic DC Comics role of Dr. Leslie Thompkins. A gifted and dedicated physician, Thompkins was a friend of the late Thomas and Martha Wayne. She works at the newly opened Arkham Asylum’s Home for the Criminally Insane with the determination to aid those most in need in Gotham. Her skills and ability to keep cool under pressure come in handy as she finds herself drawn to Detective James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and treading into more dangerous waters. Morena is to first appear in early 2015.

Most recently seen on Showtime’s Homeland as Jessica Brody, Morena Baccarin, is also known for her roles as Anna on V, as Inara in the movie, Serenity and Nurse Jessica Kivala on the TV series, Heartland.
