Michael Spends His Birthday at Love & Blood ItaCon 3D
The Vampire Diaries handsome Michael Malarkey (Enzo) appeared at Love & Blood ItaCon 3D, an annual Vampire Diaries and The Originals fan convention in Rome, Italy. (June 19-21). Hosted by Fantasy Events the weekend includes Q & A panels, signed autographs and photos ops with cast members. Stars scheduled to appear included Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt Michael Trevino, Michael Malarkey, Rick Cosnett and Chase R. Coleman, Michael had a panel Saturday afternoon and below are some quotes from his panel and some pretty amazing photos shared by fans.
- Michael comes on stage and the whole room sings Happy Birthday and gift. He loves the mic and was very touched by the crowd. Has tears of joy.
- Michael says “Thanks you for the beautiful surprise.” Says he’d been thinking of what to say for a few days, but forgot what say once climbed on stage and is now left without words..Awww
- He shares last year in Italy was his first convention. For now, this is the most beautiful one that he has been involved.
- Michael says without fans there would be no show.
- “Thanks you for the support that I receive both as an actor and as a singer.” - Michael.
- He shares that “both Julie & myself thought Enzo was underused last season, so there will be bigger plans for him in the next season.”
- Michael says that he misses the Enzo of the 5 season, his energy and his sarcasm and hopes to find them in the next season. He is curious to know what is in store for his character.
- Michael says, “I have a special love for both acting & music, music is something I like to do, I don’t need to make any money from it.”
- “You have to fight for what you love if you want to keep what you love” - Michael. And he says “We should all be doing what we love because if we don’t then what’s the point.”
- He jokes, “I don’t think Enzo will ever do a karaoke night at The Mystic Falls Grill.”
- Michael says in the room there are the father and the brother. Makes the best wishes to the father because today in America it is ‘Father’s Day.’
