Sunday Funday at EYECON with Enzo
The annual EyeCon Vampire Diaries and The Originals fan convention is held each Fall in Atlanta, Georgia. Cast members from both supernatural series appear to sign autographs, take photos, attend Q&A panels and have private meet and greets with fans. Cast appearing this year include, Matt Davis (Alaric), Zach Roerig (Matt), Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy),Michael Trevino (Tyler), Michael Malarkey (Enzo), Chase R. Coleman (Oliver), Chris Wood(Kai), Kendrick Sampson (Jesse), Paul Telfer (Alexander) and director, Josh Butler. Sunday afternoon Michael all had a panel together. Below is a summary of their panel and a few photos shared by fans.

- Michael’s favorite movie: The Godfather.
- Favorite album: Tom Waits.
- Favorite cheese: sharp cheddar.
- Michael’s favorite thing to do is write music and just relaxing.
- A fan asked about holiday traditions for his new son, Marlen and Michael JOKINGLY says “sacrifice his first child” but really just hanging with the family.
- He wants to get involved in teaching and says he wanted to be a teacher before becoming an actor.
- He says his acting mentor told him “You don’t need to show people you like to act. Just fucking act.”
- Michael got suspended sophomore year in High School, Jokes that his parents set up a “conspiracy” to get him to go to Africa where his uncle lived. He flew to there by himself and lived in Africa for 6 months. Says It changed his life.
- He hopes to do some Enzo/Alaric scenes because he loves Matt Davis. Michael says, “He’s a fucken nut!” Haha!
- Michael portrayed Elvis in a West End theater production. His favorite Elvis song is “If I Can Dream.”
- One of his favorite cast mates is Paul Wesley. Says they crack each other up on set.but everybody are “darlings.”
- Michael says the sarcastic aspect and loyal to friends is how he is similar to Enzo.
- He would have loved to play Kai, when he read script was really hoping they’d cast someone good. He was glad they didn’t cast a “fru-fru modeling type” actor.
- Michael would like to film flashback scenes and wear some Victorian wigs – “like Gillies & Morgan get to do all the time.”
- He loves hearty Southern food and thinks McQueen should eat some BBQ instead of grilled chicken.
