Chris Wood on the Wild Transition from TVD to Containment
Fresh from his major recurring role on The Vampire Diaries as sociopath, Kai Parker, Chris Wood is no strange to the CW Network. First appearing on The Carrie Diaries as Carrie‘s boyfriend, Adam Weaver, he gears up for his third role on the network. We caught up with Chris at San Diego Comic Con International and got the scoop on his role as Jake in the upcoming new series, Containment. He shares the premise of the new series and explains how different Jake is from Kai revealing ultimately ‘He is a really good guy.” He discusses how Jake struggles internally between following his instincts to protect himself and being forced into becoming a leader. Chris also reveals what he loves about being an actor and explains some of the biggest challenges he faces. He shares the excitement of being up for his first Teen Choice Award, nominated for ‘Choice TV Series Villain’ for his portrayal of Kai in season six of TVD and reveals his thoughts on playing such a unique role.
