Top 30 moments from Beyond the Shadows: The Making of Shadowhunters

Shadowhunters teases love triangles, demon hunting and more with their behind the scenes special

Christmas came early for Shadowhunters fans this weekend. Besides having a full weekend of Shadowhunters news, on Sunday we got a first look at the show with ‘Beyond The Shadows,’ a Behind The Scenes Special filled with a lot of OMG moments. We picked some of our 30 favorite moments (which was hard because we loved all of it) so we could take a look at them and tell you why we’re counting down the days until the premiere of Shadowhunters next month.

1. Isabelle grabs Simon’s arm and our Sizzy hearts explode.

So early on into the Special, and we are already squealing from excitement.

2. Two words: Vampire Bikes.

Flying motorcycles and Clace. What else could we ask for? Can’t wait to see the bikes in action.

3. Maureen, Clary and Simon chilling in Simon’s van.

We all know by now that Maureen appears earlier on in the show than she does in the books and from the looks of it, she is part of (or the only member in) Simon’s band. It looks like her, Simon and Clary hang out together, so we are excited to see what this new relationship might bring to the show and to the characters.

4. Clary punches Camille at the cemetary.

First look at Badass Clary…and we are loving it.

5. “I just wanna find my mom.”

And the journey into the Shadow World begins.

6. Poor Simon.

Looks like we’re going to see that scene a little earlier than in the books. Fans know what we’re talking about.

7. “This is for my father.”

Seems to be some bad blood here…wonder what that’s all about.

8. Shirtless Jace.

We’re speechless too, Clary.

9. “We’ve never needed anyone else.”

THE FEEEEEEEEEELS.

10. Lightwoods be creepin’.

The Lightwood siblings on the hunt.

11. Parabatai.

One look at Alec’s face and our heart melts. If only Jace knew.

12. Alec, Alec, Alec.

We all know Alec isn’t very fond of Clary on the beginning, but look at his face. You’d think she killed his mother.

13. “Hey, big bro.”

“Demons dig blondes.” That explains the wig then.

14. SIZZY.

If only this clip was 5 seconds longer.

15. “Why should I trust you?”

“You shouldn’t.” The High Warlock of Brooklyn makes an appearance.

16. Luke, are you okay?

Luke, what have you gotten yourself into? Also, Malec is holding hands. We died.

17. “I don’t see the mortal cup!”

Not gonna lie, we are a little scared of Valentine already. Plus, you see Jocelyn over there?

18. “Go ahead, knock me on my ass. You’ll feel better.”

Alec training Clary. This is going to be interesting.

19. Izzy’s whip in action.

Girl knows what she’s doing.

20. Simon’s in danger.

As Alberto Rosende said, Simon’s stunts are always going to be related to him getting kidnapped or hanging upside down. We just hope our favourite nerd makes it out okay.

21. “How can someone as smart and perceptive as you not realize that the person sitting right there is in love with you?”

Does anyone else think this is about Maureen? Poor Simon. We’re going to be saying “poor simon,” a lot.

22. MORE Sizzy!

“I’m getting seriously tired of saving your life.”

“I am not.”

23. It’s getting hot in here…

…so take off all your clothes.

24. Magnus and Alec meet for the first time.

Look at Alec’s adorkable face. This is where our hearts stopped. Malec is happening.

25. “Would you like to go out for a drink sometime?”

 “When?”

If we weren’t dead before, we are now. PLEASE HELP OUR MALEC HEARTS.

26. Simon’s band.

Look how he is singing directly to Clary. Our hearts are breaking.

27. Looks like Simon made a new friend!

Camille Belcourt…and…Simon?!

28. Shirtless Alec.

It’s hot in here! We’re dying to know what just happened.

29. “I need to borrow your lady.”

Simon seems to be over Clary at this point. Hmm.

30. Alice in Wonderland.

Could this be an alternate universe?

31. Clace gets close.

Some revelations might be happening in this moment. They did just meet right?

32. Why so sad?

Is this the moment when Valentine tells them…the thing? You know what we’re talking about. Oh dear.
