The Vampire Diaries 6×17: Hello Mama Salvatore
In the video clip below, executive producers, Julie Plec and Caroline Dries preview The Vampire Diaries 6×17 titled, “Bird in a Gilded Cage” and we see a few sneak peeks at the episode. They share the episode is cleverly named after a song from 1903 and Plec reveals in the episode there is a mystery in 1903 that needs to be solved. Plec then explains it is really just about Damon (Ian Somerhalder) trying to reunite with his mom and Dries adds what is a better way for Elena (Nina Dobrev) to meet her possible mother-in-law then a 1903 prison world. Plec then teases of what’s to come with a no humanity Stefan (Paul Wesley) and a no humanity Caroline (Candice Accola) on a rampage on a college campus.
