All the Details on the Shooter Series Premiere!
USA Network released the official synopsis, promotional photos and trailer for the series premiere of the highly anticipated new action thriller, Shooter. The series premieres Tuesday, July 19 with its first episode titled. “Pilot.” Check out the description and sneak peek photos for the debut episode as well as the official trailer below.
Official Synopsis:
“SHOOTER” is USA Network’s new conspiracy thriller based on the best-selling novel “Point of Impact” by Stephen Hunter, and the 2007 Paramount film starring Mark Wahlberg. Starring Ryan Phillippe (“Secrets and Lies”), the series follows the courageous journey of Bob Lee Swagger, a highly-decorated ex-marine sniper who is coaxed back into action after he learns about a plot to kill the President. When Swagger’s former commanding officer Isaac Johnson (Omar Epps, “House”) solicits his expertise in a clandestine operation, Swagger re-emerges from exile only to discover that he is inextricably involved in a disastrous operation with ties to his past.

A co-production with Paramount Television and Universal Cable Productions, “SHOOTER” comes from executive producers Mark Wahlberg (“Ballers,” “Boardwalk Empire”) of Closest to the Hole Productions; Stephen Levinson (“Ballers,” “Boardwalk Empire”) of Leverage Entertainment; and Lorenzo di Bonaventura (“Transformers,” “The Real O’Neals”). John Hlavin (“The Shield”) wrote the pilot and will also executive produce. Simon Cellan Jones (“Bloodline”) directed the pilot. Ryan Phillippe is also a producer on the project.
