The CW released the official episode synopsis, promotional photos and trailer for Containment 1×08 titled, “There Is A Crack In Everything,” written by Ariella Blejer & Dawn Kamoche and directed by Elliott Lester. Official Synopsis:

Dr. Cannerts (George Young) makes a major breakthrough that brings him one step closer to finding a cure for the virus. Meanwhile, after monitoring hospital surveillance from the day of the outbreak, Katie (Kristen Gutoskie) and Jake (Chris Wood) unravel the truth behind Patient Zero. Elsewhere, Jana (Christina Moses) and Suzy (guest star Nadine Lewington) move forward with a plan to escape the cordon using the city’s underground tunnel system. Finally, a risky operation to extract the potential antidote from the cordon takes an unexpected turn. David Gyasi, Claudia Black and Trevor St. John also star.
