Brenda Strong Rules Ice Nation
Dallas and Desperate Housewife, Brenda Strong, booked a role on the highly anticipated third season of The CW ports-apocalyptic drama, The 100. Entertainment Weekly reveals Strong has been cast as Queen Nia of the Ice Nation.
The Ice Nation was mentioned throughout season 2—two members came to Tondc for the Grounder Clan gathering—but it seems the elusive tribe will receive a bigger treatment in season 3. The Ice Queen has ruled her people for many years while “holding onto power through ruthlessness and savvy” according to her character description. The role details explain further: “She does what she must to maintain her power, even when it puts her at odds with those closest to her.”
