We are officially three weeks away from the highly anticipated season 4 premiere of CW’s other superhero hit series Arrow, This season will be getting a whole lot greener with Oliver Queen taking the next step in his journey as the Emerald Archer by becoming the Green Arrow. We now have a full gallery of photos from the Arrow Season 4 premiere featuring lots of juiciness such as Olicity, Black Canary, Speedy, Magneto-Diggle and the new big bad Damien Darhk, played by Neal McDonough.
As someone who fell in love with the evolution of Laurel and Thea becoming their destined comic book counterparts, Black Canary and Speedy, the geek within me loves all these new shots of two of Star City’s super-heroines. While there is still way too much resemblance to Magneto’s helmet, when it comes to Diggle’s new helmet, it does look slightly better here than it did in the trailers. I’m still getting way too much of a Guardian vibe (a superhero in the comics whose title has been used by multiple people, including Roy Harper’s uncle Jim Harper). For Arrow, I don’t want Diggle to go by Guardian; it would be fairer to the character if he got a completely new hero name, given the fact that he was created specifically for the Arrow show.
As someone who had major problems with the third season, with the latest Arrow trailers and now these images from the premiere: season 4 genuinely looks like it’s going to be a strong year for the Emerald Archer. While photos can’t say that much, I do get that feeling of this season being a complete restart for Arrow which is a major plus. While no official description was given for the season 4 premiere of Arrow, you can catch all the images below.
